Job Description:
Fulfil is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to join us at a fast-paced startup in a multi-disciplinary engineering team. In this role you will own the manufacturing process from concept to production for our proprietary industrial automation equipment in accordance with industry standards, best practices, and requirements. This role offers ample growth opportunities while working side-by-side with cross functional engineering teams of Mechatronics, Mechanical, System, SW/FW and operation to bring our innovative and exciting new technology to reality.
In This Role You Will
- Own challenging manufacturing projects in industrial automation and robotics
- Work with a cross functional team (mechatronics, electrical engineering, systems, software, firmware and supply chain) to design robust mechanical systems
- Work with supply chain and contract manufacturers to ensure efficient manufacturing and high production quality of production products.
- Evaluate designs and propose changes to improve manufacturability to reduce cost, increase reliability, improve assembly quality, and improve test/inspection.
- Provide DFM/DFA guidance/feedback on mechanical designs
- Solve technical problems (assembly, test, yield, etc) across different manufacturing commodities.
- Design and document build and assembly processes and instructions
- Design tooling, fixtures, and jigs to be used in manufacturing & assembly of our equipment
- Impact the company’s overall performance by contributing to a positive work culture, encouraging good engineering practices, and helping to create and improve robust engineering workflows and processes
What We’re Looking For
- BS or MS in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent
- Strong manufacturing engineering fundamentals
- 4+ years of relevant professional work experience
- High volume manufacturing experience
- Experience with injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and equipment assembly
- Proficient in Solidworks or other CAD software
- Hands on aptitude – able to dive in and troubleshoot issues
- Working knowledge of GD&T, FMEAs, DFM/DFA
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated ability to represent the company to its partners, suppliers, and vendors
- Excited to travel - while most of the work will be based in our Mountain View facility, there will be up to 15% travel to supplier or customer locations

- The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $155,000 plus stock and benefits. Pay within the range is based on candidate experience, job-specific skills, education, and work location.
