  • Ability to perform moderately complex financial analysis and customized reporting.
  • Demonstrated competence using spreadsheet and database software for financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and University regulations related to contracts and grants administration, including Uniform Guidance.
  • Knowledge of grant funding processes, procedures, and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of University of California policies and procedures related to general accounting, travel, contracts and grants, sales and service activities, equipment management, and gift administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience or training.
  • One to three or more years of experience.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the finances and administration of extramural and intramural funds supporting research, operations, and instructional programs within the school.
  • Work with faculty and the finance team on contract and grant proposals and post-award management.
  • Provide financial analysis and reports.
  • Develop research proposals, awards, and transactions related to contract and grant management.
  • Maintain contract and grant records in compliance with institutional and research sponsor policies.
  • Analyze proposals of moderate scope, including budgets, salaries, expenses, and other financial factors.
  • Analyze problems, gather data and information, and recommend solutions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience using Excel and campus financial systems, including KFS, KC, and Data Warehouse.
