Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a busy retail environment in a management role; experience with multiple offerings is an asset.
  • Ability to lead the team in delivering an innovative, high-quality food service program and inspire continuous improvement to exceed student expectations.
  • Experience running and evaluating successful promotions.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, team-centric, safety-driven environment.
  • Proven organizational skills and strong computer and technology capabilities, including Microsoft Office and social media.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and staff.
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems, and provide solutions.
  • Desire to provide exceptional customer service experiences.
  • Passion for food, people, and service excellence.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and direct retail food service operations for the site.
  • Direct daily operations, including working with the executive chef on menus and promotions, purchasing and ordering, inventory, and scheduling.
  • Manage financials for the retail program, including labor cost, food cost, inventory, equipment, and materials.
  • Supervise, mentor, and monitor supervisors and evaluate performance to ensure productivity and effective use of team member capabilities.
  • Ensure annual retail objectives are achieved.
  • Maintain operating standards and implement quality improvements.
  • Promote and assist in marketing the retail program.
  • Analyze retail performance and identify efficiencies and areas of opportunity.
  • Ensure compliance with company and client standards and provincial and federal legislation.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and physical safety policies and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience managing a branded food concept, such as coffee shop brands.
  • Experience with multiple retail offerings.
