Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in information technology or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • At least 5 years of software testing experience working with developers, project and release managers, system administrators, business analysts, and database administrators is required.
  • At least 2 years of automation testing experience is required.
  • Experience leading a team and mentoring junior team members is required.
  • Experience interpreting requirements, writing quality control documentation such as test reports, and writing user acceptance test plans including acceptance criteria is required.
  • Knowledge of test management, automation toolsets, and related processes is required.
  • Knowledge of performance testing processes and cadence is required.
  • Proficiency with test automation and test management tools such as Playwright and Selenium is required.
  • The candidate must be a U.S. citizen in accordance with contract requirements.
  • The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a TS clearance; preference is given to candidates holding an active TS clearance.
  • The candidate must be able to work on-site at the Groundswell headquarters in McLean or at client sites in Northern Virginia for this hybrid position.
Responsibilities
  • Play a strategic role in the overall design and implementation of the quality assurance program.
  • Lead the development of the overall test strategy, test environment design, and test data.
  • Provide leadership in the selection and hiring, training, mentoring, and project performance evaluations of testing team members.
  • Plan, execute, and report on software development and maintenance testing.
  • Review and provide recommendations regarding test documentation.
  • Develop test plans and procedures in support of system evaluation based on specifications and technical data articulated in requirements documents.
  • Develop and implement data collection plans based on data collection requirements, including training for operators and data collectors.
  • Conduct required reviews of all data collection forms and operational logs collected during testing.
  • Review test incident reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support analysis of documented user requirements and assist in the design of test plans in support of user requirements.
  • Work and collaborate with testing working groups on test-related issues and topics.
  • Provide timely communication regarding planned and unplanned upgrades and downtimes, system changes, and common issues.
  • Report bugs properly and escalate issues as needed.
  • Perform technical reviews and ensure adherence to quality processes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of the software development life cycle in general and Agile specifically.
  • Experience with low-code platforms such as Appian, OutSystems, Pega, and Salesforce.
  • Experience with user acceptance testing.
  • Appian Analyst Certification.
  • Public Trust Clearance or higher.
