About the job
- At least two years of experience is required.
- ARRT MR and Basic Life Support certifications are required.
- A flu vaccine is required, with only medical or religious exemptions accepted.
- Experience with the EPIC charting system is required.
- Competence with Pyxis, Visage, PACS, Situation-Background-Assessment-Recommendation, and email or Microsoft Teams is required.
- Competence with the Medrad injector and GE Voyager is required; the technologist is required to be competent using GE equipment.
- Experience in adult acute care, adult intensive care, adult outpatient, and emergency or trauma imaging is required, including chest, abdomen, pelvis, head with and without contrast, musculoskeletal trauma, and cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine imaging.
- Abdomen and pelvis imaging skills are required, including abdomen, magnetic resonance angiography, magnetic resonance venography, female pelvis, magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography, and male pelvis.
- Cardiovascular imaging skills are required, including magnetic resonance aortography, magnetic resonance pulmonary angiography, and magnetic resonance angiography of the lower extremity with bilateral runoff.
- Chest imaging skills are required.
- Head and neck imaging skills are required, including brain, cranial nerves, face and soft-tissue neck, head magnetic resonance angiography, head magnetic resonance venography, neck magnetic resonance venography, and orbits.
- Musculoskeletal imaging skills are required, including foot, hand, hip or bony pelvis, knee, lower and upper extremity long bones, shoulder, sternum, and temporomandibular joint with or without contrast.
- Knowledge of isolation precautions, preparation and administration of contrast media, and starting peripheral intravenous lines is required.
- Spine imaging skills are required, including cervical, lumbar, sacrum or coccyx, spine trauma, thoracic, and thoracic magnetic resonance angiography.
- Special imaging procedure skills are required, including cine imaging, non-brain diffusion imaging, gradient echo imaging, image post-processing including apparent diffusion coefficient mapping and subtraction, maximum intensity projection, magnetic resonance projection, spin echo images, surface coils, and T1- and T2-weighted images.
- Pediatric acute care and pediatric outpatient skills are required.
- Availability for the Monday-through-Friday 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. shift and rotating weekend call is required, including the stated August 8-9, 2026 weekend call shift from 7:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
- Perform procedures using magnetic resonance imaging modalities while maintaining high standards of patient care, safety, and clinical outcomes.
- Community hospital experience is preferred but not required.
