- Applicants must be 18 years or older.
- Applicants must have a valid driver's license.
- Applicants must be able to work in a team environment and independently.
- Applicants must be able to work nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays while the resort is operating.
- Applicants must be able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Applicants must have the manual dexterity to operate a mop and vacuum, move carts, and carry dishes.
- Applicants must be able to work for extended periods bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
- Applicants must be able to work for extended periods standing, walking, kneeling, pushing, and pulling on an occasional basis.
- Applicants must be able to communicate with guests, supervisors, and other employees through continuous talking and hearing.
- Applicants must be willing to adapt to changing requirements and workloads.
- Engage and welcome all Crystal Mountain guests.
- Sort compost to ensure that only compost is put into the composting machine.
- Sort recycling to ensure that only correct recyclable materials are put into the recycling compactor.
- Sort landfill bags to ensure that only materials destined for the landfill are put into the landfill compactor.
- Clean sorting stations and the facility at the end of each shift.
- Remove trash, recycling, and compost throughout Crystal Mountain, including the day lodge and Campbell Basin, Summit House, and departmental rounds as needed.
- Haul trash from the Crystal Mountain base area to the appropriate compactor in the shop yard.
- Empty and sort refuse from the Campbell Basin trailer haul.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the trash room, compost buckets, food haul trailer, and surrounding areas.
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety regulations for company vehicles, trash compactors, recycling compactors, and the compost machine.
- Perform janitorial duties as needed based on waste removal needs.
- A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Crystal Mountain is a year-round mountain resort in Washington's Cascade Range and part of Alterra Mountain Company. It operates skiing and snowboarding terrain, lifts, lessons, rentals, dining and guest services during winter, with sightseeing and mountain activities extending the destination beyond the ski season. Resort employees work across mountain operations, hospitality, safety, food service and facilities. Crystal Mountain is distinct from similarly named resorts in other states, with its identity anchored to the Mount Rainier region.
