About the Job

Requirements

  • 4–10+ years of experience in product management, particularly with complex technical data products.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure such as servers, UPS, and cooling; power systems such as three-phase power and redundancy; or AI/ML frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of HPC and AI cluster orchestration concepts, including cluster management, scheduling, and monitoring.
  • Experience with workload schedulers such as Slurm, Kubernetes scheduling (Kueue, Volcano, or custom schedulers), or similar; understanding of queueing, priorities, preemption, gang scheduling, and fair share.
  • A record of turning ambiguous research or emerging technical capabilities into adopted products through partnerships, integrations, or open source.
  • Technical fluency in agent architectures, observability, evaluation design, and automated experimentation techniques.
  • Ability to use data and experimentation, such as A/B testing, to drive product adoption and business decisions.
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts to engineers and C-suite stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a long-term compute platform roadmap with executive and engineering team buy-in, designing for value across multiple segments of data centers and AI infrastructure companies.
  • Define capabilities that increase GPU utilization and goodput, including smarter queueing and preemption, bin packing, fractional and multi-tenant GPU sharing, and power-aware placement to fit more work within the same power capacity.
  • Turn new research and capabilities, such as agent-driven optimization and workload placement, into products customers use through partnerships, integrations, or open source.
  • Partner with sales to lead discovery sessions and build ROI/TCO arguments tied to GPU utilization, compute throughput, and operating expense savings.
  • Manage and measure deployments across on-premises and cloud environments, interfacing with DCIM, BMS, and workload scheduling layers.
  • Partner with engineering, UX/UI, marketing, sales, and data science teams to ensure features are logical and intuitive; participate in scrums and sprint planning and remove roadblocks to deliver products quickly.
  • Lead voice-of-the-customer efforts and competitive analysis to identify gaps and investment opportunities; represent customers internally and ensure the team understands client needs.
  • Ensure products and features are delivered with high quality and speed; represent PADO to clients, deliver products to clients, and act as a forward-deployed PM/engineer as necessary.
  • Track success metrics such as adoption, revenue, and task success to inform future product iterations.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience running or building for large GPU clusters of hundreds to thousands of GPUs for training or inference.
  • Familiarity with NVIDIA's cluster stack, including NCCL, DCGM, Base Command, Run:ai, and DSX, or AMD equivalents such as ROCm and RCCL.
  • Experience with GPU partitioning and sharing, including MIG, time slicing, and MPS, or inference serving frameworks such as vLLM, Triton, and Dynamo.
  • Background in power-aware scheduling, workload power profiling, or data center power and cooling constraints.
  • Experience with cluster telemetry and observability, including Prometheus, DCGM exporter, and time-series data.
  • Exposure to neocloud or GPU-as-a-service business models, including reserved and on-demand capacity.
  • An engineering or computer science degree.

About the Company

PADO

AI-powered data center energy optimization platform

PADO provides an AI-powered platform that helps data centers manage energy use more efficiently. The system collects high-frequency energy data from multiple sources, unifies it, and uses algorithms to automatically adjust power in real time. This balances costs, grid limits, and reliability to keep data centers running smoothly while using less energy. Instead of selling hardware, PADO offers its platform as a service so data centers can improve energy efficiency and operational performance. What sets PADO apart is its proprietary AI that continuously ingests and analyzes large amounts of energy data to enable precise, real-time control, focusing specifically on the data center market in North America and leveraging LG NOVA’s support. The company’s goal is to help customers lower energy costs, reduce waste, and maintain reliable operations at scale.
