About the job

Requirements
  • At least 10 years of progressive enterprise sales, strategic account, or business-development experience in data centers, critical power, energy infrastructure, battery energy storage systems, microgrids, electrical equipment, or adjacent mission-critical systems.
  • At least 5 years of direct, quota-carrying experience selling to hyperscale customers, with knowledge of their engineering, procurement, qualification, security, contracting, and deployment processes.
  • Established executive and technical relationships across multiple AI data-center customer types, including hyperscalers and at least two additional types such as neoclouds, AI labs or platforms, cloud service providers, colocation operators, internet service providers or carriers, data-center developers, or large enterprise operators.
  • A verifiable record of personally originating, leading, and closing—or playing a decisive commercial role in—cumulative booked revenue normally exceeding US$200 million, including multiple complex, multi-year transactions.
  • Working fluency in data-center electrical infrastructure and power economics, including load profiles, redundancy, power quality, availability, utility interconnection, medium-voltage distribution, UPS and backup architecture, generation, battery energy storage systems, power conversion, controls, commissioning, and relevant safety considerations.
  • Proven success navigating long, competitive sales cycles and complex buying committees while translating technical value into quantified customer outcomes such as faster energization, reduced downtime risk, improved resilience, lower total cost, and enhanced sustainability.
  • Demonstrated skill in pricing, margin management, contract negotiation, performance and warranty terms, risk allocation, supply commitments, and executive-level investment cases.
  • Ability to lead without relying on hierarchy, align global and regional teams, and communicate with boards and engineers in a high-growth, matrixed environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy systems, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30–50% and support global customer engagements across time zones.
  • The role requires successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
  • The candidate must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation, including sitting for extended periods and frequently reading, writing, speaking, hearing, standing, walking, handling objects, reaching, and lifting with the hands and arms.
  • The candidate must perform essential duties efficiently and accurately without creating a significant safety threat to themselves or others.
Responsibilities
  • Create and execute account plans for priority hyperscalers, neoclouds, cloud and AI platforms, colocation providers, internet service providers, carriers, and large data-center developers; map decision makers across infrastructure, energy, engineering, procurement, finance, sustainability, operations, and executive leadership.
  • Build a multi-year, risk-adjusted pipeline; identify greenfield, expansion, capacity-constrained, behind-the-meter, backup-power, grid-interactive, and resilience opportunities; establish pursuit priorities and deliver against bookings, revenue, margin, and cash objectives.
  • Lead consultative discovery and translate customer requirements into an energy-storage-backed power architecture; coordinate AESC offerings and qualified ecosystem partners across battery energy storage systems, power conversion, UPS and backup functionality, medium-voltage distribution, switchgear, microgrids, controls, energy management systems, supervisory control and data acquisition, generation, renewable integration, and utility interconnection, as applicable.
  • Own the full commercial cycle, including qualification, solution shaping, request for information and request for proposal responses, business case, pricing, bankability, warranties, performance guarantees, service model, supply terms, contract negotiation, internal approvals, and executive close.
  • Develop durable C-suite and technical relationships and influence specifications early; build partnerships with engineering, procurement, and construction firms, utilities, independent power producers, developers, engineering consultants, original equipment manufacturers, integrators, and critical-power providers to increase AESC’s reach and win probability.
  • Convert customer roadmaps and competitive intelligence into product, certification, manufacturing, localization, financing, and service requirements; partner with product, engineering, operations, finance, legal, supply chain, and project delivery teams to strengthen market fit.
  • Maintain disciplined customer relationship management data, stage-gate reviews, forecast accuracy, deal economics, risk registers, and executive reporting; surface blockers early and drive cross-functional decisions.
  • Represent AESC at customer executive forums, industry events, and partner meetings; develop a point of view on AI load growth, grid constraints, energy resilience, power quality, sustainability, and data-center total cost of ownership.
  • Initially operate as a hands-on senior individual contributor and player-coach; codify the account, pursuit, and partner model and help build the AI data-center commercial organization as the business scales.
  • During the first 90 days, validate target segments, prioritize named accounts, establish an executive relationship map, qualify the existing pipeline, define partner coverage, and align an AI data-center value proposition and pursuit cadence with internal stakeholders.
  • Within 12 months, create strategic-account footholds; build qualified pipeline coverage appropriate to the annual target; secure customer technical evaluations, design engagements, approved-vendor pathways, and initial commercial wins; deliver reliable forecasts and clear product feedback.
  • Within 24 months, convert anchor relationships into repeatable, multi-site programs; deliver material bookings and revenue at target margin; establish AESC as a trusted AI data-center power partner; and scale a disciplined commercial organization around the proven model.
  • Deliver against performance measures that include bookings, recognized revenue, gross margin, cash and payment quality, strategic-account penetration, qualified pipeline value, stage conversion, win rate, sales-cycle velocity, forecast accuracy, multi-year coverage, executive relationships, technical design engagements, approved-vendor milestones, framework agreements, referenceable customers, deal quality, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Finalists should be prepared to substantiate their commercial record while respecting prior-employer confidentiality, including through a deal sheet, examples of complex hyperscaler pursuits, a relationship and ecosystem map, and examples of forecast discipline, commercial problem solving, contract negotiation, and cross-functional leadership.
Desired Qualifications
  • Direct sales experience with battery energy storage systems, battery systems, microgrids, UPS, power conversion, distributed energy resources, or integrated critical-power solutions for data centers.
  • Experience securing design wins, approved-vendor status, master supply agreements, strategic framework agreements, or multi-site deployment programs with Tier 1 customers.
  • A record of opening new strategic accounts and building a market or commercial function from an early stage.
  • Familiarity with standards and requirements relevant to energy storage and data-center power, such as UL, IEC, NFPA, IEEE, NEC, fire and life safety, cybersecurity, and commissioning practices.
  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • International sales experience and cross-cultural negotiation capability.

DENSO and TÜV Rheinland Japan validate battery passport for AESC energy storage products ahead of EU mandate

DENSO and TÜV Rheinland Japan have validated a battery passport for AESC Group's energy storage products using actual data, confirming its compliance with the EU Battery Regulation ahead of the February 2027 mandate. DENSO provided the technological foundation for generating and managing battery passports, which enables access to battery information via QR codes whilst maintaining data security. TÜV Rheinland Japan, acting as an independent certification body, verified the system's regulatory compliance and data reliability based on EU standards. AESC supplied data from its existing energy storage systems business and has implemented sustainability measures across its supply chain, including battery recycling frameworks. The validation confirmed the solution's practicality for real-world business integration. The companies will now expand their efforts to include AESC's automotive batteries for broader market implementation.
