Requirements
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student at The University of Texas at Austin enrolled in at least 12 class hours each semester, as required by the NCAA.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
  • May work holidays.
  • Must be able to work in person on campus.
  • A criminal history background check is required for finalists under consideration.
  • Must present acceptable original documents proving identity and authorization to work in the United States no later than the third day of employment.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Baseball staff with the daily operations of practices and games, including facility and on-field setup and breakdown.
  • Coordinate, organize, and prepare equipment for safe transportation to and from away games and events.
  • Assist with assembling scouting reports.
  • Ensure game and practice equipment functions properly and adheres to safety standards.
  • Maintain the organization and inventory of video equipment.
  • Observe and perform administrative duties during practices, including tracking statistics and operating the game clock.
  • Assist in clipping and storing practice videos.
  • Assist in creating and building analytical models using RStudio or Python.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
  • Comply with applicable laws, policies, rules, and regulations of the Board of Regents, The University of Texas System, The University of Texas at Austin, the NCAA, the Conference, and other governing bodies.
  • Report suspected violations of applicable laws, policies, rules, or regulations to the appropriate Texas Athletics or human resources office.
  • Cooperate fully with investigations by providing complete and accurate information and not influencing others during an investigation.
  • Report prohibited conduct to the University Title IX Coordinator or Deputy Title IX Coordinator as required by law or university policy.
  • Obtain prior written approval for and report all outside activities and outside income.
Desired Qualifications
  • Pursuing a degree or career in a sports-related or coding-related field.
  • Experience in intercollegiate athletics and/or baseball.
