Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing or physical therapy.
  • Maintain a valid clinical license as required by state requirements and applicable board rules; licensed-professional experience may be deferred with approval from the vice president of operations or regional president.
  • At least one year of experience.
  • Previous experience in a Medicare home health or hospice setting.
  • Maintain CPR certification as required by the position.
  • Maintain a valid state driver's license in the current state of residence.
  • Maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law.
  • Demonstrate basic technology skills, including operation of a mobile device.
  • Maintain dependable transportation in good working condition and safely drive in all types of weather conditions.
  • Demonstrate oral and written communication, fluency in English, and active listening.
  • Demonstrate intermediate technology skills, especially Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • In-office attendance is essential except for designated full-time remote positions; occasional remote duties may be permitted for temporary personal needs or crises beyond the employer's control.
Responsibilities
  • Review and approve patient information submitted by the Licensed Professional during start-of-care, recertification, resumption-of-care, or evaluation visits.
  • Partner with branch leadership to provide ongoing education and training to branch Licensed Professionals so they understand documentation requirements, meet regulatory standards, and stay informed about changes.
  • Provide one-on-one in-depth training to individual Licensed Professionals when necessary.
  • Promote quality patient care and ensure stable relationships with referral sources, patients, caregivers, and employees.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience with packet review or quality improvement.
  • Previous experience with coding.
  • Previous experience using Homecare Homebase (HCHB).
