Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with appropriate departments and individuals and maintain a thorough understanding of applicable devices in the facility.
Work safely by following safety rules and regulations at all times, including proper use of company personal protective equipment.
Assist ARP planners with scheduling and prioritizing maintenance activities.
Participate in CMC safety programs and proactively uphold the CMC safety culture.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment, hand tools, and personal knowledge to determine the root cause.
Troubleshoot AC/DC motor controls, programmable logic controllers, electrical drives, and high-voltage systems within site voltage limits, and interpret electrical and electronic schematics.
Inspect and perform daily maintenance on shop machinery, mobile equipment, HVAC systems, programmable logic controller networks, and cranes.
Maintain working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, distribution control, fluidic, and electrical systems and components and how they operate.
Maintain specified records of work performed, repair details, and material usage.
Repair or replace damaged parts, make adjustments and calibrations, assemble and install components, test equipment, and perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
Provide technical assistance to maintenance and production personnel as needed.
Perform daily housekeeping duties, including maintaining the immediate work area.
Use the SAP maintenance module and computers to acquire information, document work, account for time, and record corrective actions.
Use diagnostic equipment including digital voltmeters, paper recorders, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic tools and equipment.

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge of the melting, casting, and rolling processes and related equipment.
At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
Experience with MRO and SAP systems.
Knowledge of NFPA 70E requirements.
Experience troubleshooting Siemens or other programmable logic controllers.
High school diploma or GED.

What You'll Do

Assist ARP Planners with scheduling and prioritizing maintenance activities
Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment, hand tools and personal knowledge to determine root cause
Exercise judgement when troubleshooting AC/DC motor controls, PLC, electrical drives, and all high voltage systems, keeping them all up to the site voltage maximums. Able to understand electrical/electronical schematics
Inspect and perform daily maintenance on all shop machinery, mobile equipment, HVAC Systems, PLC networks, and cranes
Maintain a thorough and working knowledge/understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, distribution control, fluidic, and electrical systems/components and how they operate
Maintains specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and material usage
Performs necessary maintenance tasks including repair or replacement of damaged parts, adjustments and calibration procedures, assemble, install, test and execute preventative maintenance tasks on various forms of manufacturing equipment
Provides technical assistance to maintenance and production personnel as needed
Responsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work area
Use SAP maintenance module in the execution of duties, utilize computers to acquire information, documentation, account for time and corrective actions
Works with related diagnostic equipment including digital voltmeter, paper recorder, multi-volt meter, oscilloscope, and other electronic tools and equipment

What You'll Need

Knowledge of the melting, casting and rolling process and related equipment preferred

Must have experience with and the ability to demonstrate electrical and mechanical maintenance principles, concepts, and troubleshooting techniques including a working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
NFPA 70E requirements preferred
Siemens and/or other PLC troubleshooting experience preferred
Strong multitasking abilities
Thorough understanding of electrical safe work practices
Work rotating shifts which include weekends and holidays
