Production Kitchen Commis Chef

We’re currently recruiting for a talented Commis Chef to join our Production Kitchens here at Harrods. Working alongside our skilled chefs, you’ll help create exceptional dishes and products for our restaurants and world-renowned Food Halls, ensuring every item reflects the quality, creativity, and attention to detail expected at Harrods.

About the Role

As the Commis Chef in our Production Kitchens, you’ll be at the heart of the action, preparing and organising ingredients, and keeping the kitchen clean. Reporting into the Chef de Partie, you’ll be a key member of the team, whose role is integral to the smooth operation and delivery of the Kitchen operations. 

You’ll be responsible for the organisation, stock rotation and labelling of food stored ensuring that all administration for own section is completed and complies with the deadlines set. In this role, you’ll guarantee that Food Safety standards are adhered to by enforcing the high standard of hygiene and sanitation in all food-related outlets.

About You

Having knowledge and passion for food and drink is essential, with some time spent within 5* hotel or high end restaurant environment. In return you'll be given all the training and support you'll need to develop your kitchen career at Harrods.

You’ll have great time-management skills and a strong customer focus when dealing with both internal and external parties. You’ll have exceptional interpersonal skills and a good attention to detail, which will be evident through paperwork completed, organisation of department and sufficient stock levels.
