Kraft Heinz, Mike's Hot Honey unveil co-branded cream cheese.

Kraft Heinz, Mike's Hot Honey unveil co-branded cream cheese. Sep 16, 2026 PITTSBURGH - The Kraft Heinz Co. is partnering with Mike's Hot Honey to debut Philadelphia Mike's Hot Honey Whipped Cream Cheese. The innovation features Mike's Hot Honey's signature blend and Philadelphia cream cheese. "Philadelphia has been part of the Mike's Hot Honey story since the early days," said Mike Kurtz, founder of Mike's Hot Honey. "When I was first building the brand, I used to sample our hot honey on bricks of Philadelphia cream cheese to show people just how delicious and versatile the combination could be. To now bring that pairing to life in a partnership with Philadelphia feels like a full-circle moment. "Together, we worked closely to get the balance of creamy, sweet heat just right, creating a schmear ready for everything from breakfast sandwiches to pizza - or straight from the tub." The cream cheese innovation may be purchased at Walmart stores. A retail expansion is expected in 2027. Get better food industry search results. Bis chocolate: Brazil's iconic wafer bar - flavors, history & where to buy in the US.

Bis chocolate: Brazil's iconic wafer bar - flavors, history & where to buy in the US. In 1912, in a small building in the middle of Sao Paulo, Lacta was founded under the name "Société Anonyme des Chocolats Suisses". After they changed their name to Lacta, the company quickly launched what would come to be their biggest product in 1942 - small, individually wrapped wafer cookies, covered in rich milk chocolate. During testing of the product, tasters apparently kept remarking that they wanted more and more, leading to the product being named "Bis," (more, to repeat). The treat was advertised at first largely as a, "nutritious snack," hoping to appeal to kids and parents alike, but quickly submitted to a more indulgent marketing strategy. As the company grew they became known for their clever advertisement slogans, jingles, and eventually, commercials. Lacta was then bought by Kraft food divisions in the 90's, only to be split between Kraft and the current distributors, Mondelez International, in 2012. Today the two distributors dominate the chocolate industry in Brazil, as well as globally. So what actually is this delicious treat that has taken the world by storm over the last 100 years? Bis are, as stated above, small, light and crunchy cookie wafers layered and covered with chocolate and individually wrapped. The production process starts, however, in the fields, where cocoa beans are farmed and harvested by hand to ensure quality, after a lengthy and precise fermentation and prep process, where the beans are constantly tested for control, the beans are then sent to the factories to finish production. In the factory, the beans are meticulously processed to exclude any impurities, treated with heat and air pressure, and mixed with balancing ingredients like sugar to round out the iconic taste. The (now) chocolate is then finished with more heat and motion to fully incorporate everything into the chocolate and allowed to rest to reach its full potential of flavor. Automation makes the assembly process efficient and dependable, with machines carefully layering wafer and chocolate, and ensuring each piece is level and without any air bubbles. The Bis are then perfectly wrapped, packaged, and ready for shipment. These little guys go on quite the journey before they end up in your hand! It's no doubt that Bis has cemented itself as a snack-staple in Brazil, as well as the rest of the world. Brazilians quickly adopted it as the family favorite for special events, a commuters quick bite, and of course a children's classic. The brand has managed to successfully market itself to every demographic and maintain a consistent and dependable reputation, proving sustainable for over a hundred years now. The sweet treat now comes in a range of flavors including Blanca, Laranja, Sabor Limão, Laka, Extra Branco, etc., for all to enjoy. Getting Bis in the US is getting easier since the merger with Kraft in recent years, so Brazilian Sweets recommend supporting a small business and finding your local brazilian sweets shop or market and you should be able to find them. They are also very accessible online on sites like www.braziliansweets.com, who ship nationwide!

Gates and Buffett both hold Kraft Heinz as new CEO shows turnaround progress

Bill Gates' foundation trust and Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway both held stakes in Kraft Heinz as of the second quarter. Berkshire's position represented 2.6% of its portfolio, whilst the Gates Foundation held approximately $58.4 million worth of shares. New CEO Steve Cahillane has shown signs of progress in his turnaround efforts. The company improved its full-year organic sales guidance and raised free cash flow conversion guidance to approximately 110% from 100%. Free cash flow rose 10% year over year in the recent quarter. Cahillane purchased 213,106 shares worth roughly $5 million in May. However, adjusted operating income fell 18.4% last quarter, driven by higher marketing spend and compensation costs.
