  • At least 2 years of experience managing a team in a fast-paced, results-driven setting.
  • At least 5 years of experience owning a training program, including needs analysis, content development, delivery, records, and measurement of training effectiveness.
  • Must be able to work in manufacturing and active construction environments, walk the production floor and construction site, wear required personal protective equipment, and be present where training is delivered.
  • Must be able to travel to other SpaceX sites as required.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed to support production, construction, and site priorities.
  • Must be able to organize and lead meetings with executives and cross-functional leaders.
  • Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end technical training program for Memphis, including needs analysis, content creation, delivery, effectiveness validation, and continuous improvement across safety, equipment, and technical training.
  • Build, recruit, develop, and lead a team of technical trainers who maintain deep product and process knowledge and deliver training that improves safety, reliability, quality, and efficiency.
  • Own the site training forecast by translating headcount, new-hire, recertification, construction, and project-driven demand into trainer capacity, class seats, and schedules; close gaps before they cause missed qualifications.
  • Manage training content and documentation so courses stay current with process changes, procedure revisions, and document updates, including training plans, engineering masters, personnel qualifications, live training sessions, and training work orders.
  • Act as gatekeeper for employee training assignments in the learning management system, assigning only necessary training and maintaining clean, actionable data.

  • Own safety and high-risk training for the Memphis site, covering SpaceX personnel and, as required, contractors, vendors, and visitors. Map high-hazard work to required competency, including energy isolation/lockout-tagout, electrical, confined space, excavation, work at height, crane and rigging, hot work, scaffolding, and equipment operation, and enforce training gates so no high-risk task is performed without verified competency.
  • Partner with production, engineering, quality, safety, facilities, construction, infrastructure, and subject matter experts to extract complex knowledge, identify additional training needs, and establish training to support their work.
  • Drive training metrics, capacity planning, resource allocation including multi-site support, and reporting for data-driven decisions. Measure competency demonstration and training impact, monitor human error, quality, and safety trends related to training, and implement solutions that demonstrate a downward trend.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the centralized training function and facility, including scheduling, enrollments, attendance, materials, consumables, field classrooms, and future expansion and equipment needs.
  • Walk the production floor and construction site, remain present where the work happens, and audit training at the point of work.
  • Organize and lead meetings with executives and site leadership on training status, forecast versus actual, risks, and issues, bringing facts, options, and an owner.
  • Own training-related issues from start to finish. When an incident, quality escape, or missed qualification traces back to training, own the training root-cause analysis, corrective action, and verification.
  • Identify and close capability gaps that affect manufacturing, construction, test, and integration performance, cost, quality, and safety.
  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve live training materials, course content, hands-on materials, assessments, and online modules. Coordinate third-party vendors for specialized resources and instruction and hold vendor performance to standard.
  • Establish the Memphis training program through new-building and infrastructure construction into operations, including orientation, task-specific, high-risk, and site-specific training from mobilization through production.
  • Champion modern training methodologies and effective artificial intelligence solutions that maximize knowledge retention, safety, and efficiency while reducing administrative burden and bureaucracy.
  • Perform special assignments as required, such as supporting process, equipment, or facility modifications in the field.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience standing up training programs in a greenfield, new-building, or first-site environment.
  • Experience onboarding new hires and converting short-term training into a sustained long-term program.
  • Experience with learning management systems, enterprise resource planning tools, live training, personnel qualifications, and training metrics.
  • Experience enforcing training standards on live construction or manufacturing sites, including contractors and multi-employer workforces.
  • Experience serving as a primary point of contact for customer or regulatory training audits.
  • Experience with quality tools, including nonconformance control, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action, and process auditing.
  • Experience reading engineering drawings.
  • Fluency in Spanish, spoken and written.
  • Experience developing training materials, student assessments, and online modules.
  • Experience applying modern training methods or artificial intelligence tools to improve knowledge retention and reduce administrative burden.

About the company

SpaceX builds and launches reusable rockets and spacecraft for NASA, the military, and companies, and it runs Starlink, a satellite internet service for homes and businesses. In 2020, its Dragon capsule became the first privately built spacecraft to carry astronauts to the International Space Station. Its Falcon 9 rocket lands its first stage so the booster can fly again, which cuts launch costs, while Starlink beams internet from low-orbit satellites to small dishes for a monthly fee. SpaceX also owns xAI, maker of the Grok chatbot and owner of the social network X, and is building Starship, a fully reusable rocket meant to carry people to the Moon and Mars. Elon Musk founded SpaceX in 2002, and it is based in Starbase, Texas.

Musk eyes $500B–$1T SpaceX revenue by 2027 as Q3 sales jump 161% to $14.6B

SpaceX chief executive officer Elon Musk expects the company's annual recurring revenue to reach between $500 billion and $1 trillion by the end of 2027. He made the claim on the October 20 earnings call, citing growth in its "super intelligence" (SI) business. SpaceX reported third-quarter revenue of $14.6 billion, up 161% year over year, and its first quarterly net profit of $4.4 billion. SI revenue rose 830%, driven by cloud computing deals, the Cursor acquisition, and Grok's enterprise business. Risks remain. Third-quarter capital spending was $19.6 billion, and free cash flow was negative $10 billion. The stock trades at 63 times trailing-12-month sales.

SpaceX's AI unit overtakes Starlink with $7.56B revenue and 84% of $19.6B capex

SpaceX's AI unit, renamed "Super Intelligence," overtook Starlink in revenue in the third quarter. The unit's revenue rose 830% to $7.56 billion, against $5.25 billion for Starlink. Total revenue was $14.6 billion, up 161%. AI also took most of the spending. Of $19.6 billion in capital expenditure, $16.4 billion went to AI. SpaceX expects fourth-quarter capex of $35 to $40 billion. Starlink still earned $2.37 billion of the company's $2.79 billion operating income. Shares fell 9% on October 22 on capex concerns. Meanwhile, the Space segment lost $7 million on $1.77 billion of revenue.

PhillipCapital double-upgrades SpaceX to buy, triples price target to $250 after first profit

PhillipCapital has upgraded SpaceX stock from "sell" to "buy" and tripled its price target from $75 to $250. The target implies a gain of nearly 73% from Thursday's close of $147.06. SpaceX shares rose 1.5% on Friday. The upgrade follows the company's first quarterly profit as a public company. In the third quarter, it reported adjusted earnings of $0.45 per share on revenue of $14.58 billion, beating expectations. Analyst Glenn Thum credited growth in AI cloud services, which gained from higher rental pricing, and Cursor, which added $608 million from mid-August. Enterprise and government revenue rose 91% year-over-year on aviation connectivity and Starshield contracts. Thum warned that 2027 revenue could miss projections, and that power and cooling limits could slow expansion.

T-Mobile US stock falls 5% as SpaceX reportedly eyes 80,000 towers after $8B spectrum deal

T-Mobile US shares fell 5% by 11:15 on Friday after Bloomberg reported that SpaceX plans to lease 80,000 cellphone towers and build a fourth major US mobile carrier to compete with T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T. Two weeks ago, SpaceX said it would pay $8 billion to Grain Management for up to 14 megahertz of paired spectrum in the 800 MHz band. It said the deal would help Starlink Mobile become a major US carrier. The towers would supplement the 15,000 direct-to-cell Starlink satellites SpaceX has asked the Federal Communications Commission to let it launch. SpaceX earns a 45% operating margin from its Starlink connectivity business. T-Mobile's margin is 22%, and new competition could push it lower.

SpaceX shares end rocky week as $5.2B Starlink quarter and Tesla merger talk collide with selloff

SpaceX investors had a rocky week. A third-quarter report that beat estimates and Elon Musk's backing of a Tesla merger lifted shares 9% on Wednesday, but a tech selloff over AI worries erased the gain on Thursday. Connectivity revenue, mostly from Starlink, rose 69% to $5.2 billion. Starlink added 1.6 million subscribers, bringing the total to just under 14 million. Bloomberg reports SpaceX is in talks with Crown Castle and American Tower to lease space on 80,000 US cell sites for a terrestrial mobile network. Shares rose on Friday and are up 1% for the week. SpaceX and Tesla have each formed special committees of independent directors to explore a merger. A combined company would be worth about $3.5 trillion, though Musk flagged the need for approval from 50% of Tesla shareholders.
