Requirements
  • At least 7 years in a go-to-market role (sales or pre-sales), product management, product marketing, or sales enablement for a technical data and AI platform.
  • Deep fluency across the data, AI, and frontier-model landscape, with a track record of simplifying complex technical concepts for customers.

  • Sound judgment in ambiguous, multi-priority situations.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with teammates who create globally applicable enablement so their work integrates with the adaptation engine.
  • Coordinate with regional teams to pilot, refine, and localize outputs.
  • Install operating cadence, metrics, and reviews for other teams to adopt, and run a two-way feedback loop that channels field friction into what gets built.
  • Influence and align cross-functional stakeholders and senior sales leaders on the model and its priorities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Instructional design or experience with adaptive and personalized learning.

About the company

Databricks builds cloud software that businesses use to organize data, analyze it, and develop AI applications. Its lakehouse architecture brings the flexible storage of a data lake together with the querying and management tools of a data warehouse. Data engineers prepare and update datasets, analysts build reports, and developers train models or create applications in a shared workspace with controls over who can use the data. The platform runs on Amazon, Microsoft, and Google clouds, and customers pay for computing usage or commit to longer contracts for discounted rates. Databricks was founded in 2013 and is headquartered in San Francisco, California.

What believers are saying

  • Growth supports larger product bets: Databricks reported over 80% yearly growth and a $7 billion revenue run-rate in August 2026.
  • Employees try frontier AI immediately: Databricks says its 12,000 staff received day-one access to September 2026 model releases.
  • Existing customers spend more: Databricks reported over 140% revenue retention in February 2026, after contractions and departed accounts.

What critics are saying

  • Steep valuation: Databricks' August 2026 round valued it near 27 times its $7 billion annualized revenue milestone.
  • A partner controls part of the bill: Microsoft sets Azure Databricks prices and bills those customers directly.
  • Equity needs planned liquidity: Databricks remains privately held, so employee shares lack an everyday stock-market exit.

What makes Databricks unique

  • Governance extends beyond its own engine: Databricks publishes Unity Catalog's core APIs and server as open source.
  • Apps run beside analytics: Databricks' Lakebase combines a Postgres database with its data lake and isolated testing branches.
  • Its roots are in distributed computing: Databricks' founders created Apache Spark, which processes large datasets across many computers.

Factory partners with Databricks to bring autonomous coding agents to enterprises

Factory, a San Francisco startup that builds autonomous software engineering tools, has partnered with data and AI company Databricks. Enterprises can now run Factory's software agents, called Droids, with data and models they already govern in Databricks. Factory is available on Databricks Marketplace, and eligible customers can use existing Databricks commitments to buy it. Droids now draw on open weight and proprietary models from Databricks Unity Gateway, and Factory can run on a company's existing infrastructure. "Factory agents, powered by models from Unity Gateway and governed through Unity Catalog, give customers a faster path from code to production," said Ali Ghodsi, chief executive officer of Databricks. Factory is now a Databricks ISV partner and will build on the Databricks Data + AI Platform.

Pricefx partners with Databricks to run AI pricing directly on governed lakehouse data

Pricefx, a pricing intelligence company for B2B enterprises, has partnered with Databricks to let manufacturers and distributors manage pricing directly on data they already hold in Databricks. The company announced the move on October 14, 2026, at its Accelerate 2026 conference in Denver. The native integration aims to cut implementation time and end reliance on stale data. Pricing teams will work from current data, while IT keeps governance through Databricks' Unity Catalog. Pricefx will roll it out in three stages: a data connector, a zero-copy option that keeps data in Databricks, and pricing agents on Databricks Marketplace. The last two are coming soon. "Pricing is where that investment should pay off directly in margin," said Ronak Sheth, chief executive officer of Pricefx.

Tel Aviv's Seemoredata launches Databricks cost optimisation as enterprises seek to fund $2.5T AI spending

Tel Aviv-based Seemore Data has launched early access to its cost optimisation platform for Databricks, targeting enterprises seeking to fund AI initiatives. The startup's context-aware control plane now covers Databricks SQL warehouses, Lakeflow jobs, all-purpose clusters, and AI services. The launch addresses growing demand for AI funding as Gartner forecasts worldwide AI spending to reach $2.5 trillion in 2026. According to IDC, 45% of companies plan to fund AI from existing software budgets. Seemore's platform provides full cost attribution across Databricks workloads and automatically optimises SQL warehouses within customer-set parameters. The company claims its Snowflake customers achieve an average 33% bill reduction and expects comparable results for Databricks users. The service requires only metadata-only access and does not access customer data. It is available for organisations running Databricks with Unity Catalog.

Databricks acquires Seattle startup Row Zero to embed enterprise spreadsheets in AI platform

Databricks has acquired Seattle startup Row Zero, founded in 2021 by former Amazon Web Services engineers Breck Fresen and Nick End. Row Zero built enterprise spreadsheet software designed to process millions of rows at cloud scale without performance issues. The startup raised a $10 million Series A round last year. Row Zero's standalone product will remain available whilst the team integrates its engine across Databricks' platform, which serves over 20,000 organisations, including 70% of the Fortune 500. Fresen and End previously founded Shoefitr, which Amazon acquired in 2015. San Francisco-based Databricks recently crossed a $7 billion annualized revenue run-rate and raised a $5 billion funding round in August, reaching a $190 billion valuation.
