A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry with a general contractor.
Experience in water/wastewater, energy projects, and civil infrastructure construction.

Compile and submit initial project budgeting to the Construction Manager.
Select suppliers and subcontractors and obtain quotations.
Negotiate and clarify scopes of work with subcontractors and suppliers.
Manage the submittals and approvals process.
Review shop drawings.
Set up and orderly manage project administration files.
Manage document control, including distribution of drawings and specifications.
Implement and update quality assurance and quality control on individual projects.
Ensure progress payments are received in a timely manner.
Quote and negotiate change orders.
Attend, lead, and prepare for project start-up, progress, and close-out meetings.
Manage project close-out.
Identify construction risks and opportunities and thoroughly assess site conditions, subcontractor availability, and labour availability.
Manage payment requisitions and change management between the company, client, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Administer construction contracts.
Emphasize site safety in accordance with regulatory requirements and the corporate Health and Safety Policy.
Take overall responsibility for project success, including profitability, contract compliance, quality, and workplace safety.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be a part of the Duffin Creek WPCP Biosolids Treatment Replacement project in Pickering, Ontario.
The Project Manager is Maple Reinders designated representative to the Owner/Client. The morals, ethics and standards of the company and its employees are to be reflected. The Project Manager has overall responsibility for the project.
