Requirements
  • A minimum of 1–2 years of hospitality experience, especially in housekeeping, is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, mostly days and weekends.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of Housekeeping with daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, including its systems and standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate the daily operation of the Housekeeping and Laundry/Valet departments.
  • Ensure that required reports are submitted to the appropriate hotel offices on time.
  • Schedule staff based on rooming forecasts.
  • Assist with ordering supplies, maintaining par levels, and ensuring purchasing aligns with the budget.
  • Inspect rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas regularly to maintain quality standards.
  • Control linen and review the quality of linen laundry service daily.
  • Perform and oversee administrative duties, including scheduling, payroll, purchasing, and inventory management reports.
  • Participate in regular and ad hoc operational meetings.
  • Manage projects and perform other reasonable duties assigned by hotel management.
  • Ensure disciplinary procedures are carried out fairly and according to hotel policies.
  • Ensure operations meet internal and external audit requirements.
  • Work with the Chief Engineer to oversee maintenance of rooms and public areas.
  • Work with the Engineering Management team to return out-of-order rooms to inventory promptly.
  • Help lead Room Attendants, House Persons, and Public Space Attendants.
