- Ability to understand relationships between data and the effects of changes across connected systems.
- Practical technical and artificial intelligence skills, including using tools to investigate a system and build a prototype; delivering production-ready code independently is not required.
- Ability to take ownership, offer clear proposals, accept challenge, and develop better solutions collaboratively.
- Pragmatic approach, comfort with uncertainty, attention to detail, and ability to make progress in a small team.
- Observe property-management work and find problems not already surfaced through support requests or online feedback.
- Compare workflows across property-management companies and identify improvements with the greatest benefit.
- Shape the roadmap by connecting projects to a clear product direction, explaining priorities, and making them understandable to the team.
- Research alternatives, develop proposals, and think through user workflows with engineering and design.
- Understand how properties, units, owners, documents, and other data are connected and the effects of changes to them.
- Guide work from idea through adoption by providing appropriate detail, resolving questions during development, and checking after release whether improvements are working.
- Use tools to investigate product behavior, test ideas, build prototypes, and support testing.
- Experience in an early-stage startup can demonstrate the ability to learn unfamiliar business contexts and make progress in a small team.
