Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship or a Green Card is required due to federal contract requirements.
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, auditing, or cost accounting and at least 3 years of relevant federal experience are required.
  • Experience supporting government financial and accounting evaluations is required.
  • Knowledge of basic Federal cost principles and familiarity with 2 CFR Part 200 are required.
  • Experience reconciling financial data and analyzing or reviewing audited financial statements is required.
  • Ability to prepare clear and accurate supporting documentation is required.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools is required.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment is required.
  • Experience supporting cost and financial transparency and maintaining documentation sufficient for Federal review is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance or credentials is required.
Responsibilities
  • Review grant expenditures for allowability under 2 CFR Part 200.
  • Monitor recipient financial compliance.
  • Review budgets and budget modifications.
  • Prepare or review Federal Financial Reports (SF-425).
  • Reconcile grant expenditures and drawdowns.
  • Assess indirect cost rates (NICRA) and the application of indirect costs.
  • Review recipient internal controls and financial management systems.
  • Support grant closeout activities.
  • Assist with audit findings and corrective action plans.
  • Provide technical assistance to grant recipients on financial compliance.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with indirect cost rate reviews, cost allocation plans, or similar financial evaluations is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Uniform Guidance requirements for federal grants and cooperative agreements is desired.
