Project Geologist

What we are looking for

Our Charlotte office is actively seeking a licensed Project Geologist to join our team-oriented setting and advance their career. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, team-oriented, and humble. As an Project Geoglogist you will provide consulting  support within our existing environmental services practice, which focuses on assessment, remediation design, and compliance. Your potential projects could involve devising solutions for stormwater, soil management, dewatering, compliance, permitting, construction, operations, and environmental monitoring. This role is based in office when not in the field.

• Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering and practices in environmental services and related fields.
• As a Project Geolgost at SCS, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all projects are designed and delivered to meet our client's goals, making a direct impact on our success.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
• Oversee and develop lower-level staff to advance their knowledge and career path.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
• Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
• Prepare drawings, reports, and permit applications.
• Make independent decisions on scientific problems and methods, plan and coordinate work, and represent us at meetings and conferences.
• Office-based tasks, including GIS, mathematical calculations, and report writing.
• Business development, including proposal preparation, meeting with clients, and attending industry-related conferences/trade shows.
• Receive technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans or projects.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Geology or related science degree required.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant environmental experience required, including remediation design, regulations, and standard operating procedures.
• NC PG license required.
• A valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing is required.

Pay Range

USD $80,000.00 - USD $100,000.00 /Yr.
