- A PhD in physics, quantum optics, quantum information, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience is required.

- The ability to perform independent research is required.
- Lead and oversee efforts to design, simulate, and fabricate novel high-temperature superconducting materials.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists to develop next-generation applications of superconducting quantum devices.
- Publish research results in external peer-reviewed scientific journals and participate in domestic and international conferences.
- Lead independent, complementary research efforts and interact with a broad spectrum of scientists internally and externally.
