About the job
- At least 5 years of maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and technical skills.
- Advanced proficiency with programmable logic controllers and human-machine interfaces, including programming and troubleshooting programmable-logic-controller-controlled equipment, interpreting and writing logic and digital inputs/outputs, diagnosing faults, and creating and using human-machine interfaces to identify and resolve equipment or process issues.
- Proficiency with Building Management Systems, including integrating new equipment into existing Building Management System infrastructure.
- Experience with hand tools, small gearbox maintenance, and diagnosis of gear and belt drive systems.
- Familiarity with centrifugal pumps, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read electrical prints and use a multimeter to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Experience diagnosing Variable Frequency Drives.
- Experience with vehicle repair and maintenance to address intermittent issues, guidance-related malfunctions or codes, and steering issues.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to work variable schedules, including second-shift and overnight coverage, based on business needs.
- Ability to prioritize and communicate effectively and work independently.
- Program, configure, integrate, diagnose, maintain, and improve the mechanical, electrical, and automated systems supporting the distribution center and office facilities.
- Support industrial controls and automation systems, particularly programmable logic controllers and human-machine interfaces.
- Support Building Management Systems, conveyor systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, electrical distribution equipment, and heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems.
- Perform general facility upkeep to keep the facility operational.
- Experience with highly automated packaging, sortation, or carton closeout machines.
- Mechanical skills in welding, machining, fabrication, operating a lathe or Bridgeport, using a metal inert-gas or tungsten-inert-gas welder or sheet-metal brake, moving and setting equipment, moving conveyors, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning or fire-suppression systems.
- Electrical skills involving arc-flash protocols and programming Variable Frequency Drives.
- Experience with Building Automation Systems.
- Basic vehicle maintenance and support, including identifying vehicle fault codes and completing routine repairs such as tire, wheel, or bearing replacement.
