Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to obtain a Florida State Jessica Lunsford Act badge is required.
  • At least 3 years of electrician experience is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints is required.
  • Ability to work closely with maintenance, production, and engineering services is required.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime when necessary, is required.
  • Ability to climb ladders is required.
  • Own transportation is required because most locations are not accessible by public transportation.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications or licenses throughout the project or contract is required.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with external customers, including government, military, and contractor personnel, is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the company is required.
  • Compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards is required.
Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, or replace electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic assemblies, line assemblies, lighting, and alternative electrical parts.
  • Install, repair, or replace generators and industrial storage batteries.
  • Install electrical circuits, panels, conduit, protective devices, switches, and equipment required to accommodate the Canadian Electrical Code and/or National Electrical Code.
  • Install, maintain, and calibrate industrial equipment and connected devices.
  • Test electrical equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
  • Analyze electrical failures and replace components when production time is affected.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and testing of electrical systems, including power distribution equipment.
  • Correct connections and wiring on equipment controls where incorrect applications may cause harm or dangerous conditions.
  • Maintain maintenance records.
  • Perform basic and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Comply with industry standards and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
  • Work assignments may vary based on client requirements and may be performed inside facilities or in the field.
  • Work any shift or designated hours required, including potential night and weekend work.
  • Travel to areas with varying field conditions when required.
  • Climb ladders, work at heights, and work in small, confined spaces when required.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, aerial or motorized lifts, and electrical test equipment.
  • Operate motor vehicles safely and responsibly when required.
Desired Qualifications
  • A journeyman's license is preferred.
