ePac and Fujifilm partner to roll out J Press FP790 digital inkjet across 20+ global plants

ePac Flexible Packaging has formed a global strategic alliance with Fujifilm's Graphic Communication Division, announced on October 19, 2026. ePac will deploy Fujifilm's J Press FP790, a water-based digital inkjet press built for high-volume flexible packaging. The rollout begins at ePac's new facility in Phoenix, Arizona, with more of its global network to follow in later phases. The press prints at 1200 x 1200 dpi and covers over 90% of the Pantone® colour gamut. It uses food-safe water-based inks and supports recyclable materials. ePac says the press will raise throughput while keeping its short-run, on-demand capabilities. "We are significantly increasing our capacity and capability to handle larger run lengths efficiently," said Parag Patel, president of shared services at ePac. ePac, founded in 2016, operates more than 20 facilities worldwide.

Fujifilm launches HX1024 printbar for on-demand printing on building products at 500 feet per minute

FUJIFILM Integrated Inkjet Solutions has launched the FUJIFILM HX1024 Printbar System, a full-colour digital inkjet system for printing on construction products such as house wrap, sandpaper, drywall, and laminates. The system prints in a single pass at 400 dpi, in 30-inch and 40-inch widths, at speeds of up to 500 feet per minute (152.4 metres per minute). It uses LED-curable UV inks, and LED lamps cut heat and energy use compared with mercury-based lamps. Manufacturers can use on-demand printing to customise products locally for language and regulatory needs, add serialisation for tracking, and tailor graphics to their brands, said Ankur Mour, vice president and general manager. Liquid-cooled electronics suit demanding factory settings. The printbar supports top, side, and bottom mounting. The system is available now.

Fujifilm Introduces FUJIFILM HX1024 Printbar System

Fujifilm Introduces FUJIFILM HX1024 Printbar System TMCnet News [October 18, 2026] | / | Fujifilm Introduces FUJIFILM HX1024 Printbar System FUJIFILM Integrated Inkjet Solutions today announced the introduction of the FUJIFILM HX1024 Printbar System, designed to support customized printing using the company's advanced inkjet printing technologies. Developed as part of Fujifilm's comprehensive approach to print solutions, the system delivers high-quality, high-speed, full-color digital inkjet printing for a variety of construction products, including house wrap, sandpaper, drywall, laminates, and more. "Manufacturers of construction products face daily demands for customization while working within increasingly short delivery windows," said Ankur Mour, vice president and general manager, FUJIFILM Integrated Inkjet Solutions. "The FUJIFILM HX1024 Printbar System was developed to make on-demand printing on these materials as easy and efficient as possible. With on-demand printing, manufacturers can customize products locally to meet language and regulatory requirements, add serialization for rapid tracking, and tailor graphics to strengthen their brands with customers." Performance The FUJIFILM HX1024 Printbar System is available in 30-inch and 40-inch print widths for single-pass printing at 400 dpi resolution. These widths eliminate the need to reposition smaller printbars for jobs with varying print areas. It supports print speeds of up to 500 feet per minute (152.4 meters per minute). The full-color system supports LED-curable UV inks, while LED lamps reduce heat and energy use compared with traditional mercury-based lamps. The system supports industry-standard workflows, with options ranging from simplified TIFF image printing to a fully enabled digital front end (DFE). The DFE provides expanded file-format support, production workflow management, color management, and an integrated RIP. Construction-product manufacturing requires a rugged solution that can withstand demanding production environments. To that end, the FUJIFILM HX1024 Printbar System features liquid-cooled electronics, which provide greater efficiency than air-cooled systems and reduce the potential for cotamination from outside air. All system components are readily accessible for maintenance, while built-in system health check provides error codes that help users quickly identify and troubleshoot issues. Flexibility The FUJIFILM HX1024 Printbar System supports a variety of transport-mounting configurations, including top, side, and bottom mounting, providing flexible integration options-even in challenging spaces. Its customizable design enables Fujifilm to work with customers to develop solutions tailored to their specific requirements. Support As with all FUJIFILM Integrated Inkjet Solutions products, the company's worldwide field-support organization offers on-site and remote training and educational opportunities to help customers maximize their systems' capabilities. Availability The FUJIFILM HX1024 Printbar System is available now.
