Responsibilities:
Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
Be proactive in reaching out to stakeholders and mentors and deliver impactful functionality.
Design, implement, and maintain scalable and high-performance APIs and backend systems.
Expert in coding efficient, easily maintainable code, with a habit of adding extensive unit and integration tests.
Strong in one or more programming languages (e.g., Typescript, Python, Java, or Rust. Typescript knowledge is a plus)
Strong experience with SQL and no SQL databases like Elastic Search and in data modeling.
Hands-on experience with tools to identify back-end performance bottlenecks and improve them.
Implement security best practices and procedures to protect sensitive data.
Troubleshoot production issues and resolve customer issues.
Add monitoring and alerting that can help identify production issues proactively.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX designers, QA engineers, and Customer support teams, to deliver high-quality software.
Experience working with microservices architecture and containerized services
Experience setting up and working with Jenkins and other CI/CD tools
Experience working with popular cloud service providers.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
This role is a hybrid work model with Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in our Santa Clara office.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
1-2 years of proven experience as a backend Software Engineer.
Understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and coding standards.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
An individual with high technical aptitude, easy to get along with others, driven to learn new technologies, and deliver high-quality code.
