Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Three years of technology-related work experience is required; qualifying experience may include audio-video technology, computer or network maintenance, desktop support, applications support, or other related user support in a large Microsoft environment.
  • An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and job-related experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire.
  • Knowledge of service management software such as ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of video conferencing software such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft-based network environments, including connectivity and basic troubleshooting concepts.
  • Knowledge of Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, and Visio.
  • Knowledge of information security, confidentiality, and appropriate handling of sensitive court information and technology resources.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices related to equipment installation, tools, ladders, cabling, lifting, and working around installed technology.
  • Skill in providing customer service in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Skill in explaining technical ideas and solutions to audiences with varying levels of technological knowledge.
  • Skill in communicating effectively in writing for the needs of the audience.
  • Skill in verbally communicating information effectively.
  • Skill in configuring, troubleshooting, and fixing moderate to complex technical problems.
  • Skill in identifying problems, reviewing related information, developing and evaluating options, and implementing solutions.

  • Must pass a thorough background and/or fingerprint check; applicants must fully disclose felony and misdemeanor convictions, including convictions that have been expunged or set aside.
Responsibilities
  • Respond to employee, management, and judicial officer requests for technical assistance by resolving problems with audiovisual hardware and applications related to in-person or hybrid hearings using the Court Connect and Teams system.
  • Provide expertise in the use of courtroom technology, including bench touch panels, room controls, cameras, microphones, digital evidence connections, assisted-listening audio devices, bench-conference headsets, projectors, display monitors, and other courtroom technology tools.
  • Support meeting-room video-conferencing systems at various locations.
  • Coordinate regional site technical services with Court Administration leadership and support site users.
  • Train judicial staff to use courtroom technology and equipment, assist with onboarding, and respond to courtroom support issues to prevent adverse impacts to hearing schedules.
  • Document all user contacts and problem resolutions in ServiceNow.
  • Adhere to Service Level Agreements for timely response and issue resolution.
  • Operate equipment in the courtroom.
  • Perform a daily process to certify that courtroom technology is functioning properly and report deficiencies according to escalation procedures.
  • Participate in weekly preventive maintenance to proactively discover and address technology issues.
  • Assist with coordinating courtroom access for vendor service delivery and installations.
  • Work cooperatively with the team to complete work, share workloads, and determine priorities.
  • Evaluate current workflows for efficiency and communicate with Court Technology Services operations to ensure technical needs are met.
  • Complete side projects when court hearing frequency is low.
  • Create documentation of technical solutions for the knowledge base to improve team performance.
  • Participate in asset management programs to track court equipment and reduce waste.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Training and certification in a Microsoft Windows 10/11 environment.
  • Training and certification in Office 365 applications.
  • Knowledge of audiovisual hardware installations and configurations.
  • Experience with audiovisual technologies from companies such as Crestron, Biamp-Tesira, WolfVision, Williams Sound, Shure, Audio-Technica, Logitech, Yamaha, and Q-Sys.
  • Experience supporting court recording, digital evidence presentation, video conferencing, or similar mission-critical technologies.
  • Experience working in a judicial, public-sector, legal, or other highly regulated environment.
