Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • The ability to assess patient acuity, understand growth and development, and communicate appropriately for the age of patients treated is required.
  • The ability to meet the stated physical and sensory requirements is required, including standing, walking, lifting, transporting patients, bending, reaching, and normal vision and hearing.
Responsibilities
  • Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information and complete patient registration.
  • Enter patient data, orders, and charges into the Epic and Systoc electronic medical record systems.
  • Assess patient acuity in waiting areas and escort patients to exam rooms.
  • Gather medical histories and obtain vital signs during patient intake.
  • Prepare patients and exam rooms by setting up instruments and equipment.
  • Schedule patients for specialty care, workers compensation follow-ups, and other clinical services.
  • Perform point-of-care testing according to protocol.
  • Clean, calibrate, and maintain equipment and exam rooms.
  • Collect specimens and perform Reasonable Suspicion Drug and Alcohol Testing, following chain-of-custody protocols.
  • Assist nursing staff and providers in delivering patient-centered care.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure proper release of information.
  • Follow network and departmental policies related to employee, patient, and environmental safety and complete required reporting.
  • Demonstrate the organization’s PCRAFT values during customer interactions.
  • Participate in clinical care, customer service improvement, operational process improvement, and safety performance improvement activities.
  • Use resources effectively and efficiently in daily procedures and processes.
  • Follow network and departmental attendance and dress-code policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
