UWorld adds AI-assisted Respondus Monitor proctoring to nursing platform to cut faculty workload

UWorld Nursing has added automated, AI-assisted remote proctoring to its Nursing Learning Platform. The feature, powered by Respondus Monitor, lets nurse educators run secure remote exams without watching students live or booking proctors. The tool records exam sessions and flags possible irregularities for faculty review. It works with Respondus LockDown Browser, and supports identity checks and flexible scheduling. The move targets faculty shortages. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing reports a 7.2% full-time nursing faculty vacancy rate for the 2025–26 academic year. Programs can use an eligible existing Respondus Monitor licence or offer students unlimited proctoring within one UWorld course.

UWorld adds automated proctoring to its Nursing Learning Platform to ease faculty workload. New Respondus Monitor(R) integration brings AI-assisted exam monitoring and flexible remote testing to the UWorld Learning Platform nurse educators already use and trust KEY TAKEAWAYS * UWorld has expanded its Nursing Learning Platform with Respondus Monitor(R), bringing automated, AI-assisted remote proctoring directly into nursing assignments and assessments. * The integration helps nursing programs maintain academic integrity while reducing faculty workloads by eliminating the need for live exam monitoring and advance proctoring appointments. * Nursing programs can use an eligible existing institutional Respondus license or offer students unlimited proctoring within one UWorld course. DALLAS, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - UWorld Nursing, a leader in National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX(R) preparation, has added automated, AI-assisted remote proctoring to its Nursing Learning Platform to help nursing programs protect exam integrity while reducing faculty workloads. The new capability, powered by Respondus Monitor(R), allows nurse educators to administer secure remote assessments without monitoring students in real time or scheduling live proctors. Integrated directly into UWorld Nursing's Learning Platform, the technology identifies potential testing irregularities for faculty review, helping programs maintain rigorous assessment standards as more testing moves outside the classroom. The expansion addresses a growing challenge in nursing education: maintaining rigorous assessment standards as programs adopt more online and hybrid learning models while navigating persistent faculty shortages. According to the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN(R), the national full-time nursing faculty vacancy rate was 7.2% for the 2025-26 academic year, leaving many programs with limited resources to manage additional responsibilities such as live exam proctoring. By integrating Respondus Monitor into its existing Learning Platform, UWorld gives nurse educators a way to administer secure remote assessments without scheduling live proctors or requiring students to access a separate testing system. "The future of nursing education depends on finding smarter ways to support the people preparing our next generation of nurses," said Jeffrey A. Elliott, Chief Operating Officer at UWorld. "As programs face growing demands and limited faculty resources, technology will help educators focus less on administrative responsibilities and more on teaching, mentoring and student success. This is another step toward giving nurse educators the tools and flexibility they need to prepare a strong, capable nursing workforce."

UWorld Nursing launches French language NCLEX(R) prep for Canadian nursing programs. Oct 01, 2026, 09:03 ET Students can study and learn in French or English while nursing programs can control language access for each cohort. KEY TAKEAWAYS * UWorld Nursing's Learning Platform now supports French and English, giving Canadian nursing programs greater flexibility to serve students in the language that best supports their learning and NCLEX preparation. * French-language access extends across UWorld Nursing's Pre-Licensure Courseware and the NCLEX Readiness Suite, giving students access to course materials, assessments, assignments, reports, and UGuides within one connected platform. * Faculty control French-language access by cohort, while students receive the same evidence-based nursing content and rigorous review process regardless of the language they use. DALLAS, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - UWorld Nursing, a leader in National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX(R) preparation, today announces French-language support across its Learning Platform. The update applies to UWorld's Pre-Licensure Courseware and NCLEX Readiness Suite, giving Canadian faculty, students, and program administrators the ability to use the platform in French or English. Students can select French or English from their account settings, and the interface, including assignments, reports, assessments, course documents, and UGuides, automatically updates to their selected language. The update allows French-speaking students to study and review in the language in which they can take the NCLEX-RN in Canada. "Language should never be the reason a capable nursing student doesn't succeed," said Jeffrey A. Elliott, Chief Operating Officer at UWorld. "By offering students a learning experience in French, particularly for nursing programs across Quebec and francophone Canada, we're helping programs better support learners while maintaining the same rigorous preparation required to become safe, competent nurses." Faculty maintain control over the experience, with the ability to enable or disable French-language support for each cohort. This gives programs flexibility to support students learning in French while preparing them to test in English, as well as programs serving both English- and French-speaking students on a single platform. UWorld's nursing questions, detailed answer explanations, and assessments are written and reviewed by practicing nurse educators from the United States and Canada and validated against nursing textbooks, clinical guidelines, and peer-reviewed research. The French-language experience follows the same review process, helping ensure students receive consistent, evidence-based preparation regardless of the language they choose. Beyond adding French to its Learning Platform, UWorld Nursing has added multi-language support to its NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN prep courses and FNP question bank. It also recently expanded its NCLEX readiness resources with a three-day review to build student confidence, improve program outcomes, and ease faculty workloads. Nursing programs in Canada interested in learning more about UWorld's Learning Platform can request a consultation here. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Question: What is changing for Canadian nursing programs? Answer: UWorld Nursing now offers French-language support across its Learning Platform, including Pre-Licensure Courseware and the NCLEX Readiness Suite. Canadian faculty, students, and program administrators can use the platform in French or English, allowing programs to support more students within a single learning environment. Question: What parts of the UWorld Nursing Learning Platform are available in French? Answer: Students can select French or English from their account settings, and the platform automatically updates to their selected language. This includes assignments, reports, assessments, course documents, and UGuides. Because French-language support extends beyond practice questions, students can use the platform throughout their learning and NCLEX preparation rather than relying on separate materials or translations. Question: How does the UWorld Nursing Learning Platform support French-speaking students who need to strengthen their foundational nursing knowledge before preparing for the NCLEX? UWorld's Pre-Licensure Courseware supports learning throughout nursing school, while the NCLEX Readiness Suite helps students apply their knowledge and prepare for licensure. Offering both in French gives students the opportunity to build knowledge, complete assignments and assessments, and prepare for the NCLEX within the same learning environment and in the language that best supports their learning. Question: Will students still receive UWorld's detailed answer explanations in French? Yes. UWorld's questions and detailed answer explanations help students understand not only why answers are correct but why the other choices are incorrect. French-language support allows students to work through those explanations in their selected language, helping remove an additional language barrier when reviewing complex nursing concepts. Question: Does the UWorld Nursing Learning Platform in French change the level of difficulty or rigor of the content? No. Students receive the same rigorous, evidence-based preparation regardless of the language they select. UWorld's nursing questions, detailed answer explanations, and assessments are written and reviewed by practicing nurse educators from the United States and Canada and validated against nursing textbooks, clinical guidelines, and peer-reviewed research. Question: Can French-speaking students take the NCLEX-RN in French? Yes. The NCLEX-RN is available in French to French-speaking candidates in Canada. UWorld's French-language support allows those students to study and review in the language in which they can take the licensure examination. Question: Why use one Nursing Learning Platform for both English- and French-speaking students? Programs with mixed-language cohorts can provide nursing students with access to the same learning platform, educational resources, and evidence-based content created by UWorld's experts rather than managing separate materials or developing their own translations. Faculty also retain access to assignments, assessments, and reporting within the platform, helping programs maintain a more consistent learning experience across cohorts.
