Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in government or commercial kitchen operations is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in food service is required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Military food service experience at E-6 or above may substitute for the required experience.
Responsibilities
  • Manage daily food service operations, including meal preparation, serving, sanitation, and cleaning.
  • Supervise food service personnel and designated alternates.
  • Ensure compliance with Navy food service regulations and sanitation standards.
  • Monitor food quality, portion control, customer service, and safety practices.
  • Coordinate staffing schedules and coverage during operating hours.
  • Maintain accountability for Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and supplies.
  • One designated manager must be qualified to operate and maintain a Mobile Kitchen Tent (MKT).
