THE JOB:
 

The Venue Host will provide superior guest service to existing and potential guests at property nightclubs and entertainment venues while generating revenue through effective networking and relationship building. All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Resorts International policies, procedures, and practices.
 

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Promote and sell various tables at On The Record

• Market events to potential guests

• Determine when to approve table comps by evaluating nightclub performance, competition, etc.

• Regularly monitor table, ticket, and guest listreservations

• Maintain full knowledge of operating hours, menu selections, pricing, and venue availability

• Work closely with all venue hosts and management to develop and implement work practices and routines toincrease sales and generate venue revenue

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

• 2+ years of prior experience in a similar venue host position

• Knowledge of nightclub and entertainment functions

• Experience working in a similar resort setting and position

• Knowledge of UrVenue or similar database management, ticketing and seating systems

• Knowledge and experience with various social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn

• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
