Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • At least five years of television industry experience, including developing and overseeing kids’ and youth series.
  • A deep understanding of young audiences, including their media consumption habits, interests and preferences.
  • Familiarity with the television production industry in Quebec and other relevant markets.
  • The ability to maintain editorial vision and creative alignment across all stages of production.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating story elements, scripts and edits in both live-action and animation.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • An in-depth understanding of CBC/Radio-Canada’s organizational culture, programming and strategic priorities.
  • Excellent written French.
  • Fluency in English with strong written and spoken communication skills (bilingualism).
  • Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
  • Candidates who advance to the next step must complete a mandatory criminal record check; other background checks may be conducted based on the operational requirements of the position.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee assigned series by providing guidance, fostering close collaboration and maintaining regular communication with creators, independent producers, creative teams and internal Radio-Canada departments.
  • Represent the Radio-Canada Kids’ Camp; Youth Programming department at official functions and in professional communications.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with producers, distributors, creative collaborators, crew members and production teams.
  • Collaborate effectively and contribute positively as part of a team.
