Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience of 10 or more years in advanced automation applications.
  • At least 6 years of experience in industrial automation, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
Responsibilities
  • Design, install, and maintain automation systems using programmable logic controllers, sensors, and actuators for material handling, adhesive dispensing, and machine sequencing.
  • Develop and deploy vision systems and machine learning models for visual inspection and mistake-proofing operations.
  • Build and wire control panels, including specification, installation, and integration of programmable logic controllers and related hardware.
  • Use a network of machine integrators, panel builders, and automation vendors to implement automation solutions.
  • Integrate collaborative robotics and automated guided vehicles for material handling and process optimization.
  • Implement automation-based safety controls, including light curtains and control logic, in compliance with industry best practices.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to retrofit existing equipment and workflows with minimal disruption.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize automated systems to reduce downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Document control logic, system configurations, and standard operating procedures for training and maintenance.
  • Ensure automation systems meet safety regulations and operational standards.
