Porter / Groundskeeper
About the job
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous groundskeeper or porter experience is preferred but not required.
- A current pool operator’s certification is required.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Basic technical skills to complete routine tasks.
- Clean and maintain trash areas, including dumpsters, to ensure a neat and presentable appearance.
- Arrange furniture and trash receptacles in pool areas, and test and maintain proper pool chemical levels daily in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as club facilities, offices, laundry rooms, walkways, parking lots, and entrances.
- Perform supplemental landscaping and irrigation repairs, and assist with mowing, edging, trimming, weeding, and planting when contractors are unavailable.
- Prepare vacated apartments for new residents, including cleaning, trash removal, and minor repairs.
- Conduct exterior lighting checks and assist with bulb replacement and minor repairs.
- Support miscellaneous maintenance needs such as digging, breaking concrete, and moving equipment.
- Post notices and signage as directed by the supervisor.
- Travel to suppliers to pick up necessary parts and materials as needed.
