Integration Lab Manager

The Opportunity 

As the Integration Lab Manager at Beyond Identity, your strategic mandate is to maintain a complex, hybrid lab environment that serves as a critical testing ground for our software and its integrations. This role is essential for ensuring that every feature is rigorously validated in conditions that accurately simulate the wide variety of real-world customer deployments, from on-premise to cloud and from managed to unmanaged devices. Given all these fun challenges, we are a fast-paced organization going through rapid growth and solving technical challenges at an exponential scale. We are looking for a "simulation architect" who can anticipate the infinite combinations of operating systems and third-party systems to build accurate and reliable test environments. We are looking for a manager with the highest levels of technical talent, operational efficiency, people management skills and a desire to deeply understand our product.

What You Can Expect to Do:

• Work with Engineering Management to prioritize, scope and plan business milestones.
• Foster a positive engineering culture in line with Beyond Identity values.
• Build and execute on a technical roadmap.
• Support timely delivery of engineering solutions to deliver business needs, while providing a transparent view to progress.
• Actively coach and mentor team members in their careers.
• Be a reliable decision maker.
• Maintain a set of lab environments configured for both cloud (AWS, Azure) and on-premise deployment scenarios.
• Manage the unique challenges of each environment, such as network configuration, resource scalability, and security controls.
• Populate lab environments with various configurations of the company's services integrated with different combinations of third-party products.
• Implement rigorous Test Environment Management (TEM) practices to ensure configuration consistency and prevent "version drift" between test and production environments.
• Use automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure environments are created consistently and without manual errors.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Release teams to ensure the product functions flawlessly across different systems.

What We Hope You’ll Bring:

• 5+ years of engineering management experience with a proven ability to build awesome, high performing teams and lead complex technical initiatives
• 5+ years of experience as any one of software engineer, QA Engineer, DevOps Engineer or Solutions Engineer preferably in a fast growing Startup
• Takes a principled approach to engineering
• Comfortable managing team members with different skill sets and technical areas of focus and expertise
• Motivated by a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure during high stress situations
• Excellent Communication

• Expertise in managing and provisioning hybrid cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-premise environments.
• Strong background in IT infrastructure, including Linux, Active Directory, Citrix, Microsoft Entra ID, and Intune, MDM, as well as endpoint protection solutions like Crowdstrike.
• Demonstrated ability to implement Test Environment Management (TEM) best practices, including version control and documentation of lab configurations.
• Strong analytical thinking and a proactive approach to solving complex problems, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• The capacity to thrive in an ambiguous or complex problem space with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.
• A proven ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the business and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
