Facilities Maintenance Engineer
About the job
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or a similar multi-skilled maintenance role.
- A good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices within a commercial environment.
- A full UK driving licence and the ability to travel between sites as required.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance activities across multiple business sites.
- Use mobile devices and internal systems to manage, update, and complete maintenance tasks within agreed timescales.
- Support refurbishment, installation, and improvement projects, including building fabric repairs and facilities upgrades.
- Participate in the emergency call-out rota and respond promptly to maintenance issues when required.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately documented, and compliant with statutory and health and safety requirements.
- Experience in plumbing, refurbishment, decorating, or facilities maintenance within a commercial environment.
- Experience in plumbing, decorating, refurbishment, brickwork, plastering, or kitchen/restroom installation, or possession of IPAF, PASMA, or plumbing qualifications.
