Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, or business, MBA preferred
  • 12-15+ years of leadership experience within supply chain or procurement, to include working across business groups within multi-national organizations
  • Leadership experience within manufacturing platform in similar industry
  • Experience with oversight of logistics/transportation
  • Ability to define structure and advance organizational capability
  • Exhibits ability to influence other and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to project and maintain a professional and positive attitude

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint - SAP Purchasing experience preferred
  • CPM certification desired
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred
Responsibilities
  • Define Procurement, SIOP, & Logistic strategies and drive implementation for Navico Group
  • Develop and drive the procurement vision and long-term strategy to transform existing structure and processes, enhance organizational capabilities, and elevate performance
  • Create and implement category sourcing strategies to enable global spend leverage and competitive pricing, quality, delivery and risk management with the supply base
  • Manage purchasing policy, indirect demand management activities, and purchasing compliance processes
  • Contribute to the development of the Navico Group’s business strategy and plan by prioritizing Procurement value levers and defining cost management objectives (cost improvement and cost containment)
  • Oversee transportation planning to optimize logistics and distribution processes; measuring performance, identifying operational issues, and achieving high performance at optimal cost
  • Oversee the development and implementation of SIOP processes to balance demand and supply effectively and leading recovery efforts when demand exceeds capacity, proposing demand shaping options to maintain revenue projections
  • Ability to link supply chain with logistics, finance and operations to present total financial and performance
  • Drive forward implementation of initiatives, set targets and deliver results
  • Oversight of centralized and decentralized elements
  • Act as procurement liaison into the planning cycles short term and multi-year
  • Own all elements of Direct and Indirect materials productivity, supplier performance (quality and delivery) and continuity services
  • Develop and manage relationships with external suppliers and internal divisions
  • Lead supply contracts including strategy, preparation, negotiations and agreement terms
  • Develop benchmarks and metrics including a standard scorecard to set baseline standards and review for improvement opportunities
  • Establish industry standards and key benchmarks in procurement trends and processes
  • Draft and submit annual plans and proposals
  • Lead and mentor the Navico Group Supply Chain leadership team and oversee the Supply Chain Counsel
  • Establish organizational structure in an evolving operating model
  • Ability to manage remote teams and optimize roles
  • Create cross-site leverage of spend, category management, and best sourcing practices
  • Develop and drive Supply Chain talent management processes including the development of talent pipelines for the function
  • Provide oversight to corporate Indirect purchasing team to set priorities, approve sourcing strategies and provide direction to strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Actively work in special projects outside of the purchasing area bringing industry knowledge to projects including contracting standards and customer terms, pricing reviews and other projects as established at the senior management level of the Company
  • Consult with senior management to determine purchasing needs and specifications
  • Engage internal stakeholders in order to understand business objectives and desired outcomes
  • Serve as primary liaison between Supply Chain and Product Development & Engineering functions coordinating NPI, new components sourcing, and productivity initiatives
  • Drive alignment between procurement and Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) practices, processes and key business deliverables
  • Drive cross-divisional synergies and best practice sharing
  • Ensure policy compliance across the categories
  • Develop and maintain effective supplier relationships to support business needs
  • Monitor performance of vendor, service providers, etc. to ensure quality of service
  • Understand competitive trends in key geographic markets for alternate materials and services to ensure Navico Group has the "right" competitive supply solutions
  • Identify and develop new/current suppliers globally and in region who have the capacity and capability to meet the cost, quality and service needs of the business
  • Implement, manage and maintain a supplier qualification process as well as a supplier quality standard program
