Caseware puts agentic AI Inside the audit, connecting Client Requests to the Workpaper with Caseware Verity for Excel.

Caseware puts agentic AI Inside the audit, connecting Client Requests to the Workpaper with Caseware Verity for Excel. Sep. 9, 2026, 11:20 AM DÜSSELDORF, Sept. 09, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - Caseware, the leading AI platform for assurance and financial reporting, today unveiled Caseware Verity for Excel at CwX Germany 2026, bringing engagement-aware AI directly into the Excel workpapers auditors use every day. In testing to date, Verity for Excel has saved on average nine hours per engagement and 75% per task. Connecting directly with Caseware Verity for Excel, the company also revealed an AI-first evolution of its Client Requests approach, bringing the same engagement intelligence into the audit preparation workflow. Together, the two launches mark the broadest expansion yet of Caseware Verity, the AI intelligence and orchestration layer Caseware introduced in May 2026 - and, for the first time, connect the same engagement end-to-end - a shift described in detail below. David Marquis, chief executive officer at Caseware said, "While other providers bolt AI onto the outside of an audit, at Caseware we have always chosen to innovate inside the system of record that assurance professionals choose every day. We built Caseware Verity for Excel and our new, AI-first Client Requests capability directly into the tools and moments our customers already rely on, with the context, methodology and professional oversight that assurance demands built in from the start. That's what putting the customer first actually looks like - enabling our customers to spend more time creating value for clients without sacrificing confidence in the audit. As these two capabilities are connected, the benefit compounds: the same information a client sends in response to a request can move straight into the workpaper." From Chat to Workflow: The Caseware Verity Story So Far Caseware Verity launched in May 2026 as a governed, frontier AI intelligence and orchestration layer built directly into the assurance and financial reporting workflow. It is the foundation for a suite of workflow-native AI agents designed to automate and accelerate work across the full engagement lifecycle. That foundation is what makes today's expansion possible. These launches push intelligence into the specific tools and moments where audit teams already spend their time - and, critically, link those moments together so information gathered at the start of an engagement carries all the way through to the workpaper. Caseware Verity for Excel: Intelligence Inside the Workpaper Caseware Verity for Excel extends engagement intelligence directly into the workpaper. Rather than reading a workbook in isolation, Verity for Excel reasons across the connected Caseware engagement, bringing together client-submitted information, audit procedures, trial balance data, materiality, samples and supporting documents. Live connections between the engagement and Excel help keep information current, while Verity can use that wider context to orchestrate multi-step agentic workflows directly inside Excel. This spans workpaper generation and audit test automation across tests of controls, substantive analytics and tests of details, through to reporting. Practitioners remain in control throughout the process. Suggestions can be reviewed and approved before changes are applied, helping teams spend less time searching for and transferring information and more time applying professional judgment. Caseware Verity for Excel is now generally available. The capability is included automatically for any firm with existing access to Caseware Verity, requiring no additional licensing. Reimagining Client Requests Caseware is also introducing a Client Requests capability that enables auditors to collaborate more closely and effectively with clients throughout the engagement workflow. At its core, this is an agentic-first experience - a contextual intelligence layer embedded within the end-to-end assurance workflow that is smarter, more powerful, and governed AI designed for the unique needs of the assurance profession. The result is a wholly reimagined client experience: clients gain a clear view of what's being requested of them, while auditors gain confidence in the completeness and accuracy of what's returned - the first step in a workflow that carries through to the workpaper itself. At the center of the new experience is the Caseware Verity Response Validation Agent, an agentic layer that lets auditors validate client submissions while staying firmly in control throughout - the agent's findings inform the review, but the decision to accept a submission always rests with the auditor. This marks the first step toward fully automating the journey from client request through to a populated workpaper. Caseware is introducing Client Requests through a limited early-access program with a global group of reference customers, ahead of a broader rollout to all customers. One Connected Agentic Workflow: From Client Request to Workpaper Individually, Caseware Verity for Excel and the Client Requests each remove hours of manual work from an engagement. Together, they do something the profession has not had before: connect the request-and-response cycle directly to the audit file itself, generating workpapers with full engagement context, rather than leaving audit teams to bridge the two by hand. When a client submits a document or data file against a request, the Verity Response Validation Agent checks it for completeness, accuracy and usability before it is accepted into the engagement. Once accepted, that same validated information becomes part of the connected engagement data that Verity for Excel already reasons across - meaning trial balance figures, supporting schedules and other client-provided data can be pulled directly into the relevant workpaper, without anyone re-keying or re-uploading what the client has already sent. That is the shift this expansion is built around: not two isolated agentic modules, but one continuous agentic workflow, running from the moment a request goes out to a client to the moment the corresponding workpaper is populated and ready for review. Extending AI Across the Engagement Caseware is developing tailored Verity agents to support work across different phases of the engagement, from planning and risk assessment to evidence gathering and disclosure review. These agents are designed to execute time-intensive tasks directly within the workflow while helping teams improve consistency and focus more professional time on judgment. Marquis remarked, "Every conversation we have with customers points to the same opportunity: extending that same connected intelligence across every phase of the Prepare, Plan, Evaluate and Report end-to-end assurance workflow, until the whole engagement runs this way, not just one corner of it." Built on a Sustained Investment in AI Today's launches are the latest proof point of a multi-year commitment: more than $100 million invested in AI and platform development, shaped through deep collaboration with leading accounting firms. That investment built the Verity ecosystem now powering both announcements and it is the foundation everything still to come will stand on. Citrin Cooperman adopts Caseware's AI-based audit platform.

Citrin Cooperman adopts Caseware's AI-based audit platform. Ellichipuram Umesh Citrin Cooperman, a professional services company, has implemented Caseware's AI-enabled Dynamic Assurance Solution (DAS) Suite to improve audit quality and support professional development and growth. The company rolled out the complete DAS Suite - comprising DAS Audit, DAS PCR and DAS EBP - creating a single audit platform to drive consistent processes and collaboration, and use data-driven insights across its assurance operations. Citrin Cooperman & Company Assurance Innovation leader Jessie Kanter said: "Its investment in DAS is part of a broader commitment to innovation across the firm. "As AI and emerging technologies continue to reshape the profession, we are focused on empowering our professionals with intelligent tools that enhance audit quality, accelerate learning and enable us to scale effectively, while preserving the critical thinking and professional judgment that our clients value." The company's adoption of DAS is part of a wider strategy to embed AI-enabled tools and advanced technologies across its business. By using Caseware Verity, which integrates methodology, guidance and data-led insights into the audit process, the Caseware AI platform helps practitioners to make informed decisions, simplify engagement delivery and devote time to analysis and client work. Caseware CEO David Marquis said: "Firms like Citrin Cooperman & Company, LLP recognise that the greatest value comes from combining deep audit expertise with intelligent, governed workflows that help professionals become more efficient and accelerate time to value for clients. "That is exactly the vision behind Caseware Verity, and we are proud to build the agentic platform that enables the firms that are building the next generation of assurance." CPA.com acted as a strategic partner during the rollout, advising on implementation strategy, data migration, training and change management. Earlier this month, Citrin Cooperman Advisors acquired assets of LGA, an accounting and business advisory practice in the US. "Citrin Cooperman adopts Caseware's AI-based audit platform" was originally created and published by International Accounting Bulletin, a GlobalData owned brand.

Caseware to roll out AI visualisation tool for Dutch auditors.

Caseware to roll out AI visualisation tool for Dutch auditors. The new tool lets professionals create auditable charts in Caseware using natural language. Caseware, an AI platform for assurance and financial reporting, is set to launch Financial Reporting Visualisation Agent in the Netherlands. The new capability will allow accounting and audit professionals to produce auditable financial charts and visualisations within Caseware engagements using natural-language requests. The feature is built on Caseware Verity, the company's AI intelligence and orchestration layer for audit and assurance engagements. The Netherlands release marks one of the first Verity-powered functions to be embedded directly in the financial reporting workflow for customers in the country. Users can describe the type of output they need, such as a revenue trend analysis or an expense breakdown, and the agent generates an auditable chart based on engagement data. It works directly with trial balance and engagement information, automatically identifying relevant accounts, periods and visual formats. The system automatically selects the correct accounts, periods and visual formats, then displays a preview for approval. The human-in-the-loop step is intended to keep users in control of how visualisations are applied within engagements. Caseware CEO David Marquis said: "AI is creating an opportunity to fundamentally improve how audit and accounting professionals work with data. "With Verity, International Accounting Bulletin is embedding intelligent capabilities directly into the workflows professionals use every day. "The Financial Reporting Visualisation Agent helps firms move from data to insight faster while maintaining the transparency, governance and human oversight that are essential in assurance and financial reporting." The technology company noted that the tool offers full traceability back to the originating trial balance data, enabling users to follow each visualisation through to its underlying figures. The company added that users can also refine or modify charts through conversational interaction, adjusting views or parameters without leaving the Caseware environment. The agent can also incorporate supplementary data sources into visualisations, broadening the range of information that can be reflected in financial charts, the company added. Give your business an edge with its leading industry insights.

"EisnerAmper's success is a direct reflection of the intentionality they brought to this rollout," "From the start, they invested in strong champion leadership, a methodical change management approach, and a genuine commitment to embracing everything DAS..." DAS is an integrated, end-to-end audit platform that connects risk assessment, workpapers, financial reporting, and related workflows in a single secure cloud-based system. Built through a multi-year collaboration of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), CPA.com, and Caseware, DAS provides a modern, risk-focused approach to auditing. The platform's intelligent checklists and unified engagement data help eliminate disconnected tools and repetitive tasks, enabling audit teams to work more consistently and efficiently while maintaining rigorous quality standards. For a firm like EisnerAmper - serving clients across financial services, private equity, real estate, life sciences, technology and other sectors - audit consistency and quality are paramount. The firm's broad assurance practice encompasses very different types of engagements. "Implementing a unified audit solution has been essential so that every audit, regardless of industry, follows the same high standards and risk-focused methodology," said Phillip Austin, Partner-in-Charge of EisnerAmper's National Office and Chief Risk Officer for Assurance. "Our goal was to drive audit quality, efficiency, and a better client experience, all in a way that meets the complexity of our clients' businesses and our profession's rigorous standards." To that end, EisnerAmper's DAS adoption was rolled out deliberately and in phases, rather than through an overnight switch. This measured approach enabled staff to have the training and support needed to adopt the new system confidently. The firm worked closely with CPA.com, - an affiliate of the AICPA and a key collaborator on the DAS Suite - to design a tailored implementation and training program. "We invested in robust training, pilot projects and change management so our people were well prepared," said Jess Estrella, Assurance Technology and Innovation Leader for EisnerAmper's Assurance practice. "Professional readiness was prioritized over speed, allowing our teams to embrace the new platform without disrupting service quality." The new unified audit platform is already delivering meaningful benefits for EisnerAmper. By automating administrative steps and providing built-in guidance and analytics, the system frees up auditors to focus on higher-risk areas and strategic insights. "As EisnerAmper looked to build a future-ready foundation, it chose DAS powered by Caseware Verity to meet the needs of a multi-vertical practice at scale," said David Marquis, CEO of Caseware. "Our $100 million investment in Caseware Verity ensures leading firms like EisnerAmper have a trusted, governed platform to build AI-enabled workflows, drive efficiency and unlock growth in the agentic age." Dedicated training and implementation support EisnerAmper's adoption "EisnerAmper's success is a direct reflection of the intentionality they brought to this rollout," said Kalil Merhib, executive vice president, Growth & Professional Services, CPA.com. "From the start, they invested in strong champion leadership, a methodical change management approach, and a genuine commitment to embracing everything DAS has to offer. That kind of organizational discipline, combined with the collaborative partnership we've built together, is what drives real adoption - and it's what sets EisnerAmper apart." Looking ahead, EisnerAmper plans to continue evaluating innovative solutions within Caseware's platform, including AI-powered tools such as Extractly and Validate, with the goal of further embedding agentic AI directly into its engagement workflows over time.
