Requirements
  • The required work experience is 0–2 years in the aggregates, concrete, or cement industry.
  • Maintain a safety-first attitude.
  • Be able to conduct technical laboratory work and follow standard testing procedures such as ACI and/or ASTM.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn and apply technical concepts.
  • Be detail oriented and able to work in a team environment.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have experience with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Complete a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and perform testing in the concrete batching laboratory.
  • Conduct durability testing on concrete products.
  • Conduct technical work on laboratory projects with oversight from senior staff.
  • Perform chemical tests on cementitious materials and mortars.
  • Perform mortar tests on cementitious materials.
  • Prepare samples for petrographic analysis by making petrographic thin sections and cutting and polishing samples.
  • Maintain organized laboratory operations and project timelines.
  • Learn new methods and techniques for testing cementitious materials.
  • Move efficiently and effectively from task to task.
