Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Safety Science, or Occupational Safety.
- Possess verbal and written communication skills sufficient to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Possess organizational management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, usually under short deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Planning, Engineering, and Construction Section with reporting and tracking methods that support departmental programs.
- Assist with project design.
- Assist in reviewing and providing input regarding current recommended procedures and Distribution Standards.
- Assist with research and development of instruction manuals outlining directives and equipment usage for projects.
- Assist in documenting current safety procedures.
- Assist in reviewing accident and claim reports.
- Assist the Superintendent of Training/Safety with special projects and assignments.
