Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of experience in incident management, crisis management, or a related field, with a strong focus on technical incident resolution and program management
  • Exceptional technical proficiency with proven experience in a highly technical industry
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive cross-functional teams in high-pressure situations
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work on-call in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
Responsibilities
  • Lead the response to critical incidents involving autonomous vehicles, ensuring rapid and effective resolution to minimize impact on operations and safety
  • Partner with technical experts to support the diagnosis and troubleshooting of complex issues related to autonomous vehicle systems, including software, hardware, and network components
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, safety, legal, communication, and executive teams to coordinate incident response efforts, ensuring alignment and effective communication across all team members
  • Continuously enhance incident management processes, tools, and best practices to improve response times, communication, and overall effectiveness
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, response actions, and resolutions, ensuring comprehensive documentation for future reference and analysis
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for team members during incidents, providing timely updates and managing expectations effectively
  • Mentor and train junior incident managers and cross-functional team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team
  • Track and report on key performance indicators related to incident management, using data to drive improvements
