About the job
- Knowledge of automotive interior products and fixation technologies, including instrument panels, consoles, door trims, pillar trims, latches, foams, dog houses, heat stakes, snaps, clip towers, vibration welds, and ultrasonic welds.
- Ability to perform shell and solid meshing for complex part features and shapes.
- Knowledge of kinematic joints, connectivity, attachments, degrees of freedom, and kinematic and dynamic contact definition for LS-DYNA models.
- Experience with nonlinear quasi-static and nonlinear dynamic impact analysis using LS-DYNA.
- Ability to build crash-analysis models representing interior fixations such as clips, snaps, and dog houses appropriately.
- Knowledge of head-impact analysis using ECE-R21, IS 15223, and FMVSS 201.
- Knowledge of door-trim side-impact analysis using thorax, pelvis, and abdomen impactors.
- Experience with dynamic passenger airbag deployment simulation.
- Experience with static and dynamic knee-impact stiffness studies.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Build and assemble mesh models for instrument panels, center consoles, and door panels.
- Define CAE work content based on requirement analysis with support from the manager.
- Define CAE planning based on input data.
- Analyze and finalize product specifications for CAE analysis in agreement with the program manager and/or original equipment manufacturer.
- Communicate with stakeholders.
- Participate in design review meetings with the program team.
- Share results and arrange regular results reviews with the program team and original equipment manufacturer.
- Uphold and abide by the code of ethics and management requirements.
- Willingness to travel to IDIADA’s main technical center near Barcelona and to other IDIADA locations in Asia, America, and Europe.
- Proactive, cooperative, and client-oriented approach.

Applus' Extraordinary General Meeting approved a credit of up to €500 million to finance the acquisition of 80% of Idiada Automotive Technology, as reported to the CNMV. The operation involves an intragroup credit between Amber FinCo and Applus. Additionally, a €200 million intragroup credit was approved to access Amber FinCo's revolving credit line for working capital and general corporate purposes.
