Requirements
  • Board certification or eligibility in Ophthalmology.
  • Fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology.
Responsibilities
  • Provide a mix of Pediatric and Comprehensive Ophthalmology care.
  • Serve as the primary Pediatric Ophthalmologist, with most patients being pediatric and some adult strabismus and general comprehensive call rotations.
  • Provide care for a full range of ophthalmologic disorders, including higher-acuity disease and routine examinations with refractions.
  • Lead pediatric patients seen by Optometry partners.
  • Participate in a half-day surgery block on Tuesday mornings.
  • Round once per week for Retinopathy of Prematurity at the Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center neonatal intensive care unit.
  • Participate in general ophthalmology call, averaging four to six weekdays and four to five weekends throughout the year.
