Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties; related experience may substitute for relevant education and vice versa.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Deep understanding of teleconferencing and collaboration solutions.
  • Experience working with enterprise video teleconferencing solutions.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and information technology best practices.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with information technology and business teams.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of PEXIP interoperability and enterprise secure network infrastructure solutions.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and document a migration plan for secure hub bridging, including migration tasks, timelines, communication plans, customer account-request instructions, Jabber client installation instructions, secure hub meeting scheduling, and planned-outage communications.
  • Help define the secure hub support model and service-level agreements, including severity levels, response and resolution times, coverage hours, escalation paths, and on-call expectations.
  • Specify technician and end-user training deliverables and quick-reference guides for secure hub adoption.
  • Develop and document a migration plan for security network bridging, including migration tasks, timelines, planned-outage communications, and scheduling procedures.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity and respond to system security manager feedback to address concerns and compliance requirements.
  • Update existing security plan documentation to reflect new control requirements and develop supporting documents as needed.
  • Identify and develop practical, clear, and implementable processes and procedures required by updated standards.
  • Support rollout and implementation of new or revised processes and procedures, including training and communication.
  • Ensure revised security plans and associated documentation comply with NIST 800-53 Revision 5 and are ready for internal or external audits and reviews.

  • Experience in a highly regulated industry or government sector.
  • Knowledge of Cisco video conferencing solutions.

Edgewater wins IT managed services contract with Argonne National Laboratory.

Edgewater wins IT managed services contract with Argonne National Laboratory. Edgewater Federal Solutions has won a 5-year contract to be the IT managed service provider for Argonne National Laboratory. Argonne is operated by UChicago Argonne, LLC, for the Energy Department. The 1,500-acre campus employs over 4,500 people, including approximately 1,600 scientists and engineers. Under the contract, Edgewater will deliver comprehensive managed IT services to support Argonne's critical research mission across energy, environment, national security and STEM disciplines, the company said. "We are honored to partner with Argonne National Laboratory in support of its vital research mission," said Rodger Jones, Energy+ president of Edgewater Federal Solutions. "This award expands our footprint across the DOE's national laboratory complex. Our growing presence in this space underscores our commitment to delivering secure, reliable, and mission-focused IT services that enable scientific discovery at the highest level." Edgewater's services include service desk operations, on-site and remote end-user support, integrated IT and audio-visual services, and management of Argonne's ITSM platform to provide a scalable, flexible and resilient hybrid support model.
