Requirements
  • A minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience in accounts receivable or general accounting is required.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with enterprise resource planning systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or similar systems is required.
  • Ability to independently manage full-cycle receivables, including collections, reconciliations, and credit evaluations.
  • Strong phone communication and collections and negotiation skills.
  • Organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
  • Critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities to resolve complex customer account issues with minimal oversight.
  • Customer-oriented adaptability to various personalities and situations.
Responsibilities
  • Generate invoices for drop-ship orders.
  • Process customer payments and post daily deposits.
  • Follow up on outstanding receivables by sending past-due notices and making phone calls.
  • Set up and maintain accurate customer account records.
  • Evaluate credit limits and payment history independently to approve or deny new orders, escalating complex exceptions.
  • Post bills for warehouse orders and generate commission invoices for vendors.
  • Assist Sales with Will Call orders.
  • Follow up on credits and refunds.
  • Maintain and enhance accounting reports.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in accounts receivable functions with minimal guidance.
  • Identify and address customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Engage with customers and teammates.
Desired Qualifications
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
