Installing, servicing, and repairing doors and door hardware
Installing, servicing, and repairing various types of glazing systems
Conducting site investigations and compiling information for quotations
Updating technical skills and knowledge
Providing high-quality customer service to clients

A Brief Job Summary

The position of Glazing Service Technician is responsible for on-site installation and repair of aluminum glazing systems, doors, hardware and glass units in commercial, industrial, institutional and residential settings. As a service team member, you will provide high-quality customer service to our clients throughout the HRM and NS. The candidate will perform fresh installations, preventative maintenance and emergency maintenance.

What Will You Work On?

· Installing, servicing, and repairing doors and door hardware.

·Installing, servicing, and repairing various types of glazing systems.

·Conducting site investigations and compiling the information required to build competitive quotations.

·Constantly updating your technical skills and knowledge and not being afraid to bring your colleagues along for the ride.

Who Are We Looking For?

- 4+ years of experience

·AAADM certification would be an asset

·Strong mechanical aptitude and prior construction or maintenance experience

·Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to provide solutions

·Able to read basic blueprints and product/installation specifications

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·Able to work collaboratively with other tradespeople (in-house and in the field)

·Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

·Must be capable of meeting the physical demands of this industry

·Eager to be constantly improving your knowledge and skills in this industry and always willing to share that knowledge with other members of the team
