Requirements
  • A certificate, bachelor's, or master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Two to four years of experience in injury prevention or in the candidate's specialty field, preferably in an industrial setting, with a strong background in hands-on therapy and body mechanics coaching.
  • Ability to identify and address issues effectively, providing solutions in person and remotely.
  • Technology proficiency sufficient to use DORN's reporting systems and in-field technology when required.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly and effectively and interact professionally with others.
  • State licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with detailed reporting.
  • Active professional liability insurance coverage is required upon hire.
  • Must meet drug screening standards and pass a background check.
Responsibilities
  • Guide employees on proper body mechanics and self-care techniques to prevent workplace injuries.
  • Collaborate with site management and safety teams to assess risks and implement injury prevention strategies.
  • Provide deep tissue therapy to enhance employee performance and well-being.
  • Maintain detailed records of work and progress using DORN's systems and processes.
  • Gather employee feedback through surveys on the impact of services delivered.
  • Communicate with client site teams and DORN management to support injury prevention initiatives weekly and monthly based on services provided.
Desired Qualifications
  • Additional continuing education is beneficial.
  • Interest in or experience in ergonomics is desired but not required.
  • Credentials including Athletic Trainer, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapist Assistant, Physical Therapist Assistant, or Licensed Massage Therapist are valued.
  • Other relevant credentials and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
