Requirements
  • One to two years of engineering experience or training, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and technical procedures.
  • Ability to respond effectively to questions from management, customers, and clients.
  • Ability to calculate figures, discounts, area, circumference, ratios, proportions, percentages, surface areas, volumes, weights, and measures.
  • Ability to identify variances in standards, multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must have a valid New Hampshire driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical and/or lift test, background check, and driver record check.
  • Must complete online safety training and use required safety gear.
  • Ability to walk, stand, reach, handle materials, climb ladders, kneel, crouch, stoop, talk, hear, and see.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and frequently lift, carry, or transport objects or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Support hotel maintenance operations and hotel assets, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water softeners and treatment, air-conditioning units, ice machines, lighting, kitchen equipment, emergency equipment and systems, switch rooms, roof exhausts, electrical substations, painting, and wall-covering repairs.
  • Provide professional and courteous guest service and respond promptly to guest maintenance requests.
  • Complete projects according to specifications and on time.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of guest-room electronic locks.
  • Secure and maintain the key inventory for all hotel locks.
  • Maintain the telephone system, high-speed internet, movies, and cable systems.
  • Assist and instruct craftsmen with scheduling work, materials, and project completion.
  • Maintain and participate in preventive maintenance programs for guestrooms, public spaces, and equipment.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the grounds and the attractiveness of landscaping.
  • Maintain clean and orderly workspaces and storage areas.
  • Be available for on-call and weekend work as required.
  • Follow safety requirements and comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Assist in preparing the building for city and state inspections.
  • Complete projects determined by management and perform inventory duties as required.
  • Attend team meetings, work with all departments, and assist them as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training and perform other assigned duties.
