PwC midtown office to bring jobs and investment to Oklahoma City. Published on 10 August 2026 at 1:42 pm - Written by Sarah Collins - Reading duration: 2 minutes Show summary PwC has opened a new office in Midtown Oklahoma City, a move the firm says reflects both a shift in workplace design and a renewed commitment to the local market. The relocation - to 424 NW 10th Street, Suite 201 - aims to align staff needs with a neighborhood that has changed dramatically in recent years. The space was planned with flexibility in mind rather than a traditional, assigned-desk layout. Large windows and an open floor plan maximize natural light, while artwork from local creators helps connect the firm to the surrounding community. A workplace built for today. Inside the office, employees find a mix of collaboration zones and quieter areas meant for focused work. Adjustable desks and private phone booths are among the practical additions intended to support hybrid schedules and varied working styles. * Open, daylight-filled floor plan * Local art installations including pieces from the Paseo Arts District * Adjustable-height desks and dedicated phone booths * Spaces designed for team collaboration and individual focus Nate Rice, PwC's Oklahoma City office leader, described the move as the outcome of months of planning and a sign of the firm's confidence in the city's future. He said the new location provides a better setting for staff, clients and community engagement. Why Midtown matters. Midtown has evolved from a relatively quiet stretch of the city into a pedestrian-friendly district packed with shops, restaurants and repurposed historic buildings. That transformation has attracted companies seeking walkable neighborhoods that offer amenities and transportation links. The Oklahoma City Streetcar runs through Midtown, giving employees and clients an easy, car-free connection to downtown and Bricktown - a practical benefit for commuting and client meetings. For PwC, the move is framed as more than a change of address: it's an investment in a neighborhood the firm expects to grow alongside. Leaders say the office will help recruit talent, improve client service and deepen local ties. On a broader level, the relocation mirrors a trend among professional firms that are redesigning workplaces to support hybrid work while choosing urban locations that offer lifestyle and transit advantages. The immediate effects for workers and clients are straightforward: improved access, modern amenities and a workplace intended to support flexible routines. Over time, leaders hope the presence of a national firm will reinforce Midtown's momentum as a business and cultural hub. Rice summed up the firm's outlook by saying the new office is a starting point for continued engagement in Oklahoma City and optimism about what comes next for the teams based there. Rematics nominated for the Trends Impact Awards 2026. 5 August 2026 by Rematics has been nominated for the Trends Impact Awards 2026 with D4T (Daisy4Truck), its intelligent monitoring platform for waste collection. The nomination places D4T in the Future-defining technologies category, alongside Belgian projects that use technology to accelerate the sustainability transition. The Trends Impact Awards are an initiative of Trends-Tendances, PwC and Antwerp Management School, supported by ING. Now in its fifth edition, the programme rewards projects with a measurable, positive impact on society. The focus is deliberately on real-world results rather than on technology for its own sake. The Future-defining technologies award looks at deep tech for the transition, data platforms that create transparency, and artificial intelligence applied to sustainability. One criterion stands out: demonstrable impact, not technological novelty. That is exactly where D4T operates. Its technology combines industrial cameras, rugged edge hardware, computer vision and cloud software to analyse waste at the moment of collection. The system recognises more than 30 waste fractions, detects contamination and flags hazardous materials such as batteries, gas cylinders and fire extinguishers in real time. "A large share of what ends up in the incinerator today is still perfectly recyclable. We are convinced that better insight leads to better sorting behaviour and more recycling. This nomination confirms that technology only creates value when it delivers results in the field", explains Bram Peetermans, CEO Rematics What happens next. Nominated companies present and defend their project before a jury of Trends journalists, PwC and AMS experts and sustainability leaders. The pitches take place in September 2026. A public vote runs in parallel and determines two audience awards. The winners will be announced during the award ceremony on 19 November 2026 at Maison de la Poste, Tour & Taxis in Brussels. Rematics BV is proud that D4T is on that list. And even prouder of the teams driving out every day with its technology on board, turning waste data into concrete improvements.
