About the job
- Current Dental Assisting National Board certification is required.
- Current Pennsylvania radiology certification is required.
- Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
- Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and infection control standards is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team-oriented environment is required.
- Assist chairside with general dentistry procedures, including restorative care, crown and bridge work, extractions, endodontics, and preventive services.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories according to OSHA and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines.
- Take and process dental radiographs.
- Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist with impressions, temporaries, and digital scanning.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients.
- Manage inventory and maintain organized clinical areas.
- Support smooth patient flow and efficient scheduling.
- Experience with digital radiography and electronic dental records.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software.
