About the Job

Requirements

  • Extensive product management experience and a proven track record of taking new products from concept to launch, ideally including at least one financial product with meaningful revenue accountability.
  • Experience operating at a staff or principal level, defining strategy across ambiguous problem spaces, influencing without authority, and shaping organization-wide product direction.
  • Deep familiarity with fintech products such as card issuing, spend management, business banking, insurance, or lending, and understanding of the partner, risk, and compliance ecosystems behind them.
  • Ability to pressure-test unit economics and business cases and critique customer flows.
  • Ability to de-risk bets through validated learning, determine when to double down, and decide when to stop pursuing an opportunity.
  • Ability to connect customer insight to long-term business strategy and communicate clearly to senior stakeholders, external partners, and cross-functional teams.
  • High standards for quality, ownership, and outcomes, with judgment to shift between detail and broader strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Frame customer problems, size opportunities, design and run lean validation experiments and pilots, and make evidence-based go/no-go recommendations for new products.
  • Lead build-vs-buy-vs-partner decisions by evaluating embedded finance, banking-as-a-service, insurance, and lending partners on capabilities, economics, risk, and customer experience, and shape partnerships with the commercial team.
  • Ship and scale initial financial products by defining the minimum viable product, sequencing the roadmap, and iterating based on customer and market feedback.
  • Partner with Design, Engineering, Data, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and go-to-market teams to navigate regulatory and operational realities of launching financial products.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative insights, including unit economics, adoption signals, and risk performance, to determine which opportunities merit further investment.
  • Elevate product thinking across the fintech group by shaping how product managers and leaders evaluate opportunities, frame trade-offs, and make decisions in emerging financial domains.
  • Balance proving new opportunities quickly with the rigor required to build durable, trustworthy financial products at scale.
  • Identify which financial products Jobber should build, buy, or partner to deliver across spending, borrowing, insurance, and banking.
  • Run rapid discovery and validation, shape build-vs-partner decisions with embedded finance and banking-as-a-service providers, and lead initial product versions from pilot through scale.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience launching embedded fintech products in a vertical software-as-a-service or platform business.
  • Experience working with banking-as-a-service or embedded finance providers, card networks, sponsor banks, insurance carriers or managing general agents, or consumer lending partners.
  • Experience serving small businesses, particularly in home and field services.
